Jellyfish: Must have for post surgery. My dog isn't too into chewing or destructive behavior despite being a puppy. He did fine with this and never got it off. It stayed inflated and I washed easily. It was a pain to inflate though. Every dog is different but this was great for us!

LetMeOutside: This collar does what it's designed to do. Our 85 pound German Sheppard (we ordered the large size) had a hot spot on his rear quarter, and this inflatable collar kept him from licking it, allowing the hotspot to heal along with regular application of Banixx Pet Care spray. We love the straps that allow for his collar to be weaved into it, which I'm sure kept it on him better than if it just slipped over his head. It also has an adjustable velcro strap that allows for it to be snugged up. Another positive is that once we were finished with it, the ability to deflate and fold it small for storage is definitely better than a large hard cone that would have been a pain to store.

The only negatives are that it wasn't the easiest to inflate, especially at first. We also had to replenish air occasionally, probably due to a leaking seal allowing air to escape as he bent in attempts to scratch or lick his hind quarters. The other issue is that this thing is a fur magnet for my dog's shed long hair. This is because of the material the collar is made of. We had to take it off each day to run a felt lint collector across it. These issues are minor and do not really detract from the...

Gary W PalmerGary W Palmer: My previous review was a "1" (see below). The first soft cone had an air leak, although it took me a while to realize that. I had to re-inflate it every day. I first thought it maybe was a bad seal at the inflation nozzle.

Then, I recalled how I found punctures (air leaks) in my bicycle tire tubes when I was a kid. Works well for this product too. Unzip the cover zipper and remove the air bladder from the cover. Inflate the air bladder fully. Push it underwater in a large bowl, big enough to hold at least a section of the air bladder at a time. Rotate the bladder under water until you've checked the entire bladder, including the inflation nozzle. If there's an air leak, you will see a stream of air bubbles coming up from the leak location. It was clearly a manufacturing defect.

So I returned the first soft cone and requested a second cone. As soon as I got the second one I did the leak test. Imagine my frustration when I immediately found a leak in the second soft cone air bladder. This one was also clearly a manufacturing defect, that looked like a small burn hole.

Then came my first review described below with a 1-star rating.
