WeatherdogWeatherdog: I bought a double splitter on Amazon to be able to walk my dog and a weekend guest dog. I just needed it for one weekend but when it arrived I was shocked at how nice the quality was and the price was very reasonable. I later went back to Amazon to see what else Mighty Paw carried and was glad to see they offer an assortment of leashes and collars as well. I have never seen these in the chain pet stores. They are TOO NICE! These stores can find poor quality leashes that probably cost $1.00 and resell them for $17.95. That is an all too often trend in retail. Look at chain drug stores and you will see the same thing happening. Even the packaging is first class.

This collar and leash combo is rubber coated and won't absorb sweat and start to smell. It looks GREAT! The chrome fittings seem to be a super high quality bright chrome you don't see in stores. The reflective surfaces are great for dusk or dawn walks. Hats off to this company. Anything you buy from them you are going to be VERY PLEASED, just like we were!

Ashley B: It fits great and the sizer doesn't slide around. The leash hook is super sturdy which is great. Cleans very easily and you can avoid the swelling and stink that comes with wet fabric collars. My only complaint is that after a couple months and the start of muddy season, the reflective strip is wearing off. It's kind of a bummer, and definitely isn't aesthetically pleasing, but it's also completely reasonable that anything applied to the (really great) rubber of the collar would peel away eventually. The structural integrity of the collar is still there, it just didn't take long for it to look worn. (Bear in mind that my dog chooses to play outside, in mud, water, and snow with other dogs for 6+ hours a day, and you might not see such quick wear and tear on a more sedentary dog or part-time collar wearer)

James: Purchased this collar along with the leash from the same product family. I've tried a number of might paw products and have found the majority of them are really good.

I'm not sure of the material used but it's not soft yet not too hard. I tried the collar on our older dog -- not much of a reaction from her. Then I tried it on our younger dog -- he loved it. I had to shorten the extra space because I noticed he kept trying to get to and bite the connector part throughout the day.

We ended up taking the little one to the water park over the weekend. The collar held up great. It gets wet but doesn't stay wet. By the time we went from the pools to the car, it was dry. There didn't appear to be any issues, no excess scratching. The dog loves it.

We use a different might paw collar usually, but will switch over to this one when we know we plan to get wet.

Terri A.Terri A.: When I opened the package (see photos) I was impressed with the bright reflective colors and the weight of the biothane. When I opened and stretched out (see photos) the collar I still liked the weight of the biothane and noticed the stitching on the collar was well done and strong. The clasp and the hang tag on the collar are sturdy. Personally, I prefer a metal buckle on a collar but that is very rare to find theses days. When I adjusted the collar for my dog it was easy to do but yet the slider stayed in place when I pulled on the collar to see if it would slide on its own. The slide also stayed in place during an actual walk.

I really like the fact this collar is waterproof and easy to clean. I tested it on my Vizsla at my acreage with a pond (see photos). We walked around the pond several times, once in the morning in heavy dew. My dog wore the collar running around and playing with the other dogs and swimming in the pond. After
a swim the collar did not remain wet or get dirty like collars made of cloth, webbing or rope.
