farfel5678: I started taking daily readings with a digital oral thermometer back during Covid. What a pain! Beep, beep, beep, hold still, oh wait start over, beep, beep, beep, beeeepppp! OK. Then manually enter the number in health app.

I had no idea how much IR health thermometers had advanced. I have an IR gun for general measurements, e.g. temperature of building materials, etc. and I know there's not very accurate. For cooking, I use accurate thermometers including a ribbon probe for pan temperature, so I'm a bit of a thermometer geek. So, I scoff when I see somebody using an IR thermometer to measure a pan!

Well, that drugstore digital oral thermometer was 1.5-2F low. I used to always make jokes with doctors when they take my temperature, saying "I'm a dinosaur", but then they would read 98.6 instead of 96.something, and I'd be like, "must have been the run from the car".

This thermometer is accurate, and corresponds to doctors readings. My health app tells me I've had a sudden change in temperature trend lol.

BERTHET Franck: Ce thermomètre est très pratique a utiliser et permet d'avoir un historique sur son téléphone. Plus précis que ceux vendus une vingtaine d'euros. Mais nécessite tout de même de l'utiliser correctement sur la tempe car sinon la valeur varie de plus d'un degré parfois.

jroverjrover: Love how easy it is to use, the fact that it doesn't require a phone connection (Bluetooth) and that multiple users can take their temperature and select their profile for data upload directly on the device.

We have a Withings/Nokia Body Cardio scale, Aura sleep sensors/clock, and a BPM cuff. We like health data and love that all these devices connect to our Wi-Fi network and let us use the products without tying them to a phone or having to have some other device nearby. Each device takes data and uploads it to our profiles in the cloud. Once there, you can have that data populated into your iOS Health app or multiple others.

We have seen that the measurements can vary every time you capture them, but after reading the temperature ranges where you should be concerned -- the 'relatively' minor differences in data from one reading to another aren't enough to worry about for us. I posted the last few days of measurements and you can see, daily morning measurements are pretty stable and would certainly show a spike or other reason for concern.

PajillPajill: For sure, its an expensive device. Bought it because ease of use to record your reading on app. If you don't setup for wifi & using only bluetooth, it will drain your battery out.

Amazon Customer: I've had mine for about a year and a half, bought at insistence of my mum just before my son was born, we thought it'd help with taking temperature of a sleeping child. Today is the day I'm finally giving up and I've just gone and ordered a Brain in-ear one.

Yes, it's beautiful. I love such design, and it almost justifies its price. Luckily, we didn't need it all that much until last week, when my son just cycled through food poisoning, a virus and about 5 teeth coming through all at the same time. At this time it was essential for me to know "when to panic", so I kept taking his temperature. Today, it showed first 39.4, then 37.3, then 36.5 and after a couple of hours when I changed the batteries in the hopes it'd make a difference, we went from 40.5 to 37.1 all within 30 seconds. At the point when I nearly had a heart attack after seeing 40.5 on the display, my son was happily babbling with his toys and sticking his tongue out at me. That's when I realised the essential point of a thermometer is basically completely missing from this device and went on Amazon to order a different one.

Chris R.: Als jemand der gerne neue Gadgets ausprobiert und haben muss habe ich mir bei den letzten Prime Tagen dieses Thermometer bestellt. Ich habe seit ein paar Jahren schon eine Withings Personenwaage und auch Schrittzähler mit denen ich sehr zufrieden bin. Nachdem das Thermometer bei mir ankam habe ich es ausgepackt und ausprobiert. Die Haptik ist toll und auch die Einrichtung geht spielend einfach. Ich habe die gemessenen Werte auch mit meinem alten elektronischen Thermometer verglichen - keine großen Abweichungen, würde auch eher sagen das Withings Thermometer geht genauer da man es an der Schläfe misst und nicht unter der Achsel. Etwas enttäuscht und das war mitunter auch ein Grund warum ich es zurück geschickt hatte, das Thermometer hat eine eigene App - Thermo. Das ist jetzt ansich kein Problem aber ich hatte mir erhofft dass sich dieses "Tool" nahtlos zu meinen anderen Withings Geräten gesellt und ich auch die Daten in der Withings Healthmate App abrufen kann - so habe ich Gewicht/Schritte etc in der einen App und für die Temperatur muss ich die andere App schauen. PetiteColline: Depuis que j'ai ce thermomètre, fini le calvaire pour réussir à prendre une température fiable sur des enfants en bas âge ! Un petit balayage sur le front et hop l'appareil nous prévient par une petite vibration que la mesure est là. L'écran à LED est d'un beau rendu, la diode qui change de couleur s'il y a de la fièvre et les conseils sur l'application sont bien utiles aussi. J'ai essayé de faire plusieurs mesures de suite, il y a quelques petites variations mais aucun gros écart, ce qui donne confiance dans le résultat. Un petit reproche, c'est la qualité de l'interface tactile, qui ne marche pas toujours bien. On est sensé attribuer la mesure à une personne en faisant avancer la liste des personnes avec le doigt, mais de mon côté j'ai parfois échoué à le faire parce que l'écran ne réagissait pas. Il n'y a pas non plus de bouton "off", donc on ne sait pas très bien comment l'éteindre, enfin bon il semble s'éteindre tout seul au bout de quelques dizaines de secondes. Pour le prix, on aurait quand même aimé une pochette de transport, car cela reste un sacré investissement pour un thermomètre ! Mieux vaut l'avoir en vente flash...
