We opened windows and it reflected lower levels. Then we installed a radon mitigation system and it went from concerning levels to 0.03. This thing works great and i bought 2. Highly recommend. No kickbacks for saying.

Rick Salve: The technology is real time monitoring of radon levels. Our home passed the canister/lab standard at 2.8 when we purchased the home. Long term averages are only part of the danger.
However, real time radon monitoring with this unit was a real eye opener. I have measured short term daily radon levels as high as 20, while the long term average is exactly (2.8) what was measured from the canister.
I simply open the door and occasionally fan out the area when the light is yellow/red.
Very reassuring to work in a basement area when the light is green.
App is easy to use and reliably accessed by your WiFi
Super product!!!

jdcjdc: I've set this up running from a USB power bank - this is much more convenient than having to position it near a power outlet.
Connecting with the app and WiFi was super easy. It relies on 2.4 GHz WiFi by the way.
First result was in 2 hours, and was, thankfully, reassuring.
The only downside was that it came with a European USB plug adaptor, but of course, as I say, it's better with a power bank.

PravinPravin: Interface is awesome. I have two in my basement. Issue is, over a few months, sometimes the readings become unreliable. Put both next to each other and one was reading in the red, the other in the green. Bought a third, and realized both in the green were reading about the same, however, the one in red was reading, very high, then, very low, then, very high, then very low.

frankdog: I got around to setting this up a couple weeks ago. When you finally get to the point where it actually is hooked up to the wifi network it seems to be working fine. My results are usually in the range of 2 to 3 or so, sometimes higher, sometimes lower. Readings seem to go higher when the a/c is off at night, but just about always stay below 4.
Thing is that the only way I seem to get a good network connection is if I set it right on top of the router. When I tried to move it a couple feet away to an area where the air flow in the basement may be lower the connection failed. So given my basement gets air flow just about everywhere where it is recommended to set this thing while the air conditioner is running (and the vents are closed) and will get even more air flow when the furnace is running again (and the vents will be open), I do wonder about the quality of the readings when they are on. Does the air circulation give a false positive reading?
I suppose I will figure out somewhere else to put the router (it's wall mounted now) and see what happens.
This is in an unfinished walkout basement by the way; I spent the last few winters sealing it up as it was...
