Roxanne Miller: We've created a monster. I bought this for shits and giggles, just to see if we could train our cat to use it as a treat bell. We would ring the bell, then give her treats. After about a week she understood that bell=treats. We continued with the training, and just recently she has started to ring the bell herself. Success! Except that she's realized that when she rings the bell, we come running, so now she rings it for EVERYTHING. Treats? Ding! Pets? Ding! Playtime? Ding! We have to put it up so she can't summon us at all hours of the day and night. Very pleased with this purchase.
Pros: loud (but not too loud), clear sound. Rubber base prevents scratching on hardwood floors. Bright, fun print. Metal bell, feels like it will last a while.
Cons: very lightweight, our cat can easily push it across the floor (not even a con, really)

Sara Beth: We LOVE this bell! We got it for our puppy and potty training. We got him at about 5 months old and he doesn’t whimper or bark to tell you he has to go. He used to just quietly go to the door and if no one noticed him he’d pee at the door (or anywhere). Potty training wasn’t going well. He was from the SPCA and so we don’t know what his life had been before we got him. Within a couple days of training with the the bell he used it and it’s been the best thing! The only downside is- we have a fenced backyard and he knows the bell means going outside- so if he just wants to go outside to check out a squirrel or sit he will also use the bell. Sometimes 20x a day. Lol
He’s now over a year old and continues to use his potty bell like a pro. It’s great- no more accidents in the house EVER!
