R. Schell: Yes, I know Amazon shows you the dimensions but this bowl is really tiny. I have four cats and I spread their dry food across multiple puzzle feeders, so it still works out. The good news is that this one REALLY slows them down. There are small crumbs of food inside that they work on all day. So, yes it works, but it's surprisingly tiny.

Tiff: My bf's cat inhales food. We wanted something that would not only slow her down but would make her think lol. It does take her longer to eat, and he has said that even hours later there would still be some kibble in the bowl; he thinks she just got lazy and walked away from it haha. When we introduced it to her she was a bit weirded out, tried it, walked away, came back. She, like many cats, think that her food should just be handed to her with no effort on her end because you know, we're here servants. hahahaha. This bowl did the trick though.

Kaylene: We got this slow feeder to try to eliminate our cat's scarf and barf antics. The bowl seems like good quality, has non-slip stuff around the bottom, etc, but was too deep and narrow for my cat to get his face in. We tried it several times, and he would always get frustrated and either try to knock it over or just give up. It did work okay for my dog, but the dividers are a little pointed and it seemed like it hurt him every once in a while. It might work for you, but unfortunately, it didn't work for us very well.

N Curtis: Good size for a cat. My cat would always eat so fast she made herself sick. This does the job of slowing her down (30 seconds becomes 5-10 minutes!). She couldn't get the hang of it at first but soon realised she'd have to if she wanted to eat. Works better with wet food than hard good from experience. Wet food traces come off quite easily when soaked in water.

Carol W.: I have a cat that inhales his food and is a real jerk. I first tried a few different slow feeders, but he literally threw a tantrum because he doesn't want to work for his food. So, I purchased this in hopes that it would be a good compromise - fairly easy access but has to work a little bit for the food - and it's perfect! I've had it for over 2 months and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

First, I love the orange color! The fish is soft and flexible, but you can hold it by one end and it will not sag which is important when carrying it filled with food! it's easy to clean with a soft brush since there are some corners that are difficult to clean. It stays where you put it and will not slide across the floor as the cat eats.

It slows my boy down enough where I have yet to hear him gag because from literally inhaling his food. It will not slow a cat down as much as some slow feeders, but if you have a cat like mine, it will keep him happy and stop him from planning a counter attack on you for making him work too hard for his meal!

The only thing that has been a slight issue is that two of the 'pockets' have small corners that dry food gets wedged into...

Laughing Sal: Our female cat has earned the nickname "Hoover" as she is known to vacuum up almost any food she can get to. Potato chips, spicy corn chips, even pickle slices- if she can get to it, she will eat it, or try to eat it. Any time we give her more than a tiny handful of kibble, she will invariably devour it so fast that it comes right back up. Our much slower eating boy cat had been very tolerant of her Hoovering up his food as well as her own, so we started feeding them in different rooms so he would get more than a small portion of food before she inhaled it all.

As she can't be given more than a teaspoon's amount of food at a time (any more, and you will find yourself stepping in a pile of it on the carpet a few minutes later) we decided to look for a bowl that could slow down her eating. This bowl had decent reviews and was not expensive, so we gave it a try. It appears to be well-made, and not too difficult to clean- the channels in it are big enough to get a brush into.

At first, "Hoover" was not pleased with this new food receptacle. At ALL. She could smell and see all those tasty nuggets that she usually made disappear within thirty seconds, but she couldn't get...
