M. FisherM. Fisher: It seems to adhere pretty well, and it will protect the furniture, but I don’t understand why they made it so that the clear adhesive is sticky on both sides. I tried one part of the couch with the sticky part out, and it attracts cat hair and dust. The other side I kept the white covering on. It looks terrible but at least it’s not exposed tape.

lucy: The youngest and new addition we brought in as a kitten almost 2 yrs ago decided he liked dragging himself around the livingroom couch, love seat and chairs by using his claws, and using the corners as a scratching post..this stopped him immediately!!
He HATES it..so it did the trick!!
You get many sheets and can cut to the size you need for the problem area..
Easy to place..and take off..will buy again if needed for sure.
It will pick up dust and cat hair off the cat if they brush close to it but that don't but that's not a big problem

Kim T.Kim T.: I purchased these for my sister whom was ready to re-home a cat that literally destroyed her furniture. Hadn't gotten them to her yet and in the meantime, I purchased a lovely new ottoman. Now my little angels (lol!) have never scratched any of my furniture until they thought that my beautiful new ottoman was a giant cat scratch post. ugh. I remembered I had the Slinky Paws Cat Scratch Training Tape, a product I never thought I'd need myself. But since I had it, I think I may have saved the ottoman from an early death by cat claws. In the ottoman reviews, it was kind of a common theme.

So far so good! The look on their faces of being foiled by some simple white tape is priceless! I have to worry about the top still, not ready to cover that up so at night its just a small blanket or tray. The tape has stuck well, and I will remove it when I feel confident that they know it is not for kitty claws. Generous amount of sheets in 2 different sizes, and easy to cut to fit if needed.

If you are new to the ways of kitties - While training, please be sure to give them options for scratching that won't get them in trouble. Keep a scratching post close by the "taped" furniture....

HealthyBody: Despite the fact that I don't think I ended up using this correctly, it seemed to work reasonably well to keep my mom's cat from further destroying her couch. It sounds like there is supposed to be a layer that is sticky that you have to peel off a second layer to expose, but I could never get that to happen. That said, the slick surface seemed to do the job, and the cat has at least temporarily stopped using the arms of the couch as a second scratching post.

The sheets of material were fairly easy to apply. We had to cut them down a bit to fit the style of the couch arms, but that was easy. Like I said, I never got to the sticky part on the outside that seems to be the point, but the slick surface worked fine for the purpose. I might try again with some of the other sheets to see if I can get them to work on the other side of the couch.

I like the fact that there are different sizes, so you can choose, and like I said, we had to cut down a sheet to make it work, but that was very easy. I'll be interested to see how long the sheet stays stuck to the couch!

Sherald W.: The sheets are the right size for the furniture not much cutting at all. The cat hasn’t touched the furniture in four days. I left white part showing because I think this stops him from trying to scratch furniture. I will remove one in a few days to see if the sticky stuff on the back will continue to keep him away. I love this product wish I knew about it when I bought my new furniture. It doesn’t matter I caught his scratching in time before his nails destroyed my stuff!
