James Dean: I flush mounted the tweeters high on the front doors and they sound crisp and clean. The bass blockers work really well. I ordered and installed the Skar NPX65 Mid Woofers, since the tweeters sound so good. I am running a Rockford Fosgate 125rms x4 amp and the speakers run great at their power rating. They are loud and compliment each other. The NPX65 mid woofers are loud and sound great with the TWS tweeters. The Kicker KS Series that I replaced were not near as loud and the mids popped, because they couldn't handle their claimed rms power.

RetroGradeRetroGrade: These small tweeters replaced the stock '99 4Runner ones perfectly. I added the FSX65-4 mids in the bottom of the door. A bit of work and thought they might be too much for the tweeters. Maybe. Used a 50W Sony amp for the setup. Sounds pretty good. Previously a friend gave me a decent Rockford amp and sub so the 4R actually had ok sound now. Then lately another friend was cleaning out his dad's garage (sold the house) and had some sort of amps in a box if I wanted them. Turned out there were two old school 90's PrecisionPower amps with an active crossover. So I spent the last few days trying the Skars and amps out (and sub) and i have more variables to mess with than I've had in a long time. I had given up years ago - so many expensive sound systems stollen. Concord decks, Naka amps, Quarts, etc, etc. (Old Hart speakers even) 4 decades of great stuff for cars. Several whole cars even.
45$ tweeters. 100$ mids. 1500$ of old school amps.
I'm not sure where the sub should fall off. Thinking 140hz maybe. I did design a 3rd order active crossover for myself back in the 90s. Low pass, band pass, high pass. A bunch of Operational amps and pots.
