Jim Stone: This is my second purchase of dried pineapple from Amazon. The first order was another brand and was really good, so much so that a 2lb bag did not last long between 2 people. So when I went to make another order, this purchase, I decided to get a larger amount which is why I went with another brand.
I picked this brand due to all the reviews plus the price. The fruit arrived on time and did not spend anytime in the mailbox as the post person handed me the package. I should have known just from opening the bag of pineapple, this was a lesser grade product than before. Opening the bag revealed that the "resealable bag" was not going to work due to the ziplock not put on the bag correctly. So all fruit went into a gallon ziplock bag so a resealable bag could be used.
Now that that is squared away it's time to taste the fruit. So I get a piece and put it in my mouth. Go to chew, and I might as well have a rock in my mouth. So decide to suck on it for a bit to see if that helps soften it up. 20mins later, still too hard to fully chewy so end up giving to my dogs. The whole bag has ended up being like this. For every one decent piece there are twenty pieces you can't eat....

The Pagan Goddess: This is my second purchase of these dried pineapple chunks. I prefer to eat dehydrated snacks individually, not as a bar, but more like trail mix. I would really prefer if the dried pineapple chunks did not have added sugar, as these are just candy, but I like them. I will only add a couple to any snack box I make as they are really just pineapple chunks of sugar. I wish I had more willpower. :)
Since these are my second purchase, I have to admit I would rather have them in the cabinet than not have them on hand when I want them.
I would like to make a challenge to Sincerely Nuts to just make dried fruits WITHOUT ANY ADDED SUGAR. Then, I would buy one of everything every few months. Seriously.
