Doc jojo: This cooler has changed the way I travel. I plug it in a few hours before I leave to cool it down. I load it up (and it holds a lot of food!) and unplug it from the wall and plug it into my car and off I go.

When I get to my hotel, I simply unplug the cooler from my car and then plug it into the outlet in the hotel room. The only drawback is that the fans on top are fairly loud. Small price to pay for such a great product.

Sharlene: 4/5 stars. Works well, just don't let your kids climb on it when it's running (their weight will push the top plastic down into the fan and can wreck it). The handle is not very useful. It falls off if it gets bumped or if there is too much weight in the cooler. Other than that, we have used this cooler probably about 200 hours. It still works well and the fan sounds normal. If you're looking for a cold fridge temperature, you wont get it with this cooler. If you're looking to keep your food cool, this is your buy. This cooler cools down to 20 degrees cooler than the surrounding air. On days we used it, we had it plugged in most of the day (whether driving or not). My truck battery did fine even when the truck was not running for up to 4 hours. Nice tool to keep food from going bad.

J'ai été surpris de constater que cette version n'inclut plus le convertisseur CA/CC. La poignée semble aussi moins solide que la version précédente. Je trouve le ventilateur plus bruyant que celui du modèles plus grand. Je pensais que mon ancienne avait un peu mal vieilli, mais la nouvelle n'est pas vraiment plus silencieuse et ça devient agaçant la nuit dans une chambre d'hôtel ou un prêt à camper.

If you are like me, and base your purchases on Amazon reviews, you probably are feeling the same sense of nervousness that I had before finally pressing the purchase button.

The Amazon reviews, overall, are not particularly favorable. There are more than a handful of reviews stating that this product is prone to failure, either directly upon receiving or shortly thereafter.

Despite the rash of unfavorable reviews, I ultimately decided to purchase this cooler under the terms that if it initially failed, I could return it within the 30 day Amazon refund period. If it failed afterwards....well...I'm screwed like many others were.

The cooler arrived in excellent shape. It was double boxed. No damage on the outside. A cigarette lighter power cord is included. Along with this cooler I purchased the Igloo cigarettes to home power converter so I could continue running the cooler in my home or hotel room.

Jake: I bought this product for a camping trip. I don't own a camper, but I do camp in a tent. All the campers surrounding me in the RV section were completely jealous that we had all the luxuries of having cold beer without having the cost of a 50000 dollar camper (after all, that's the only reason people buy campers, right? Cold beer?) I realize that camping in the RV section for the sole reason of having electricity is basically cheating, but this cooler makes it worth it. I bought the adapter on the URL below. It works well, and you can charge your phone too, with the two USB ports. This adapter was nice to have when using the cooler outside the car, where lighter ports aren't available, and the voltage for the adapter is spot on for this product. Overall, this is a great cooler. It keeps beer and other drinks cold, and will even chill warm drinks, though it may take a while. This product may seem pricey, but ice isn't necessarily cheap either. Where I'm at, an 8lb. bag of ice is around 2-3 bucks, and that would only last an afternoon, so if you use this cooler 10-20 times, the cost savings on ice outweighs the fact that this cooler is twice the price of a regular cooler, plus there...
