Greasygirlgoneclean: I have my kids scooping the cat litter. It’s just part of their chores. But when they were using a plastic scooper, they had a hard time digging through the heavy litter and actually getting all the kitty poop. This thing is sturdy, pushes through the heavy kitty litter, like no big deal, and picks up all the poop! And the slots aren’t too big. I was kind of worried that stuff might not actually get picked up properly. But they are perfectly proportioned. A great purchase highly recommend it!

Ms. A. G. Polden: This scoop is so easy to use. Although I feared that small pieces of litter-clumps would fall through the bars, they didn't, and it is amazing how small the pieces are that will be held. Also the litter really seldom sticks to the scoop, and if it does, all you need to do is draw it through the litter and it cleans off. The hanger is also very useful.

Eva: While I really like the design and it works very well with my Catit litter, but I find it a little hard to use, (I am 5'2" just FYI) If you are a small sized person, I would actually put this to the consideration since we pretty much use this shovel daily. However it does work way better than my little lock shovel. Overall I am not regretting this product, but would love it comes as a smaller size.

GrowBug: I purchased this long handled scoop 4 years ago because I needed a sturdy scoop that wouldn't twist and break. This one gets used several times a day and it's still as strong and usable as when it was new. I have one cat who I would swear urinates concrete hardener. This scoop works great to scrape as well as sift and takes care of the concrete messes. The handle is actually comfortable which is something I didn't care about initially, but it's much easier to use than another brand's metal scoop that I bought at the same time. That other scoop broke 2 years later. I was concerned the length of this scoop would be awkward but it isn't and the scoop is really great for what it is.

kk: We spent way too long using a plastic scoop for our cat's litter box. When it finally started to crack, we went online and found this scoop. We liked that it was large, metal, with thinner spaces between the bars, rounded sides, and coated for ease of waste removal. When we got the scoop and tried it for the first time, we were really impressed. This is a really good, sturdy and effective cat litter scooper. The only nit for me, personally is that the handle is a little bulky. But it's soft and pleasant to hold. Very glad we bought this cat litter scoop.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I didn't expect much but this is a great litter scoop! I never thought there was much difference to litter scoops other than if they were plastic or metal. After over ten years I finally thought I would upgrade my cheap metal scoops for something nicer and more ergonomic so I ordered two of these. I was pleasantly surprised at how well these worked. The base slots are vertical so my fine grain litter falls right through it and only leaves what needs to be removed. My old scoops and most I normally see have a flat base with just slots in it so a lot of litter sits on the scoop and has to be shaken off. It even grabs the crumbles that were so hard to get before! They are super sturdy and comfortable to hold. I use a fine litter from Arm and Hammer so I don't know how well this would work for other more coarse clay or wood litters but for me it's made cleaning the litter box so much quicker, cleaner, and easier.

Monta: For me the most important feature in a litter scooper is that it can capture tiny soiled particles quickly and efficiently. This scooper does that. My litter of choice is fairly fine grained and there is nothing I hate more than leaving tiny bits in the box that need to be removed. So far this scooper is performing great. It is very sturdy, comfy to hold, well balanced, large enough to do the job quickly. For tiny bits that are too small to be caught even by this scooper, the curved front corner can be used to pick those up. Fortunately this is not necessary very often, I usually just use that method to grab foreign material that might have gotten into the box like plant burrs, hair, etc. The nonstick feature seems to help some with preventing wet material from sticking, but it is still necessary to clean that off at times. The seller suggested using Pam spray or cooking oil to lightly coat the surface of the scooper to increase the nonstick property. I may try this, but since I'm in the habit of cleaning it off with spray peroxide or alcohol and a paper towel if it's gets dirty, I'm not sure how often I would bother with this step. I do wonder how durable the nonstick surface...
