Wally: This is great for placing pots and pans on to dry overnight. Wish the one side was elevated so the water would drip/run into the sink, but it is fine and does a good enough job. Once items are dried and put away, we just lift the one end to dump the excess water into the sink.

TAS: This was exactly what I was looking for - I thought. I'm single and only use my dishwasher if I make a big meal for friends or have a lot of dishes to do. But on a daily basis I clean up after dinner and wash my few dishes and put the away, using the dishwasher maybe once a week. I thought this would be perfect for those daily dishes yet easy to put away if I wanted a clear countertop.

Unfortunately when they package this mat, they fold it sharply in fourths, resulting in two creases down the middle in each direction. I figured these would go away, but after a month, the mat still puckers on my counter - enough that if I let enough water pool (which I now try to avoid) the "quadrants" on the other side of the creases will spill onto the counter before they drain to the sink.

It's been about a month and this looks like its permanent. I tried leaving it out flat in the sun as well as leaving a cast iron pan on the creases for a week. No change.

They really should roll this thing for shipping or something. The pucker is really annoying.

The trivets are handy, but to be honest, I didn't need them and consider them a bonus. I even forgot they were included...

Amazon Customer: The dish mat is functional - it will keep water off the countertop. Be aware though that the ribs that keep the dishes raised up above the drain channels are too short and the drain channels too close such that water tension tends to keep water trapped in the drain channels and clinging to glassware. As a result, air-drying inverted glassware completely takes a bit more time. For the price though, the drying mat does the job sufficiently.

The trivets/pot-holders are only functional as trivets. They aren't thick enough to safely handle hot baking sheets or racks, even when doubled up.

kittyneedsanap: I liked this drying mat so well, i bought another one for the other side of the sink (both purchased at full price). They help protect my counters and the floor when the little ones put their dirty dishes by the sink and provide adequate space for the few dishes i hand wash. They aren't too difficult to wash off, which i do frequently. The color is a nice, neutral, dark gray. They are flexible and easy to roll up and stow away, if needed, but they are a good thickness. I've only had them for a few weeks, but they still look brand new, so they are holding up well. I didn't think we would use the silicon trivets that come with it, but they are actually pretty handy. They're light and don't take up much space, so i find myself reaching for them more than my heavy trivets. I'm very pleased with my purchases.

JustMeFromNJ: Thick material and seems it will last a while. Got rid of our old bulky dish dryer rack and bought this as a space saver. Works great. Only negative part is even if you put the “lip” part on the edge of the sink, it still won’t drain because it stays flat. The “lip” doesn’t bend into the sink to let the water drain if I’m making sense. Also the elevation spaces are so close to each other and tight that you can’t wipe it dry. You have to get inside the spaces either with a folded paper towel or QTips. If you rinse and just let it dry on its own, you will have water spots. Other than these, still a good product. And the 2 round “pot holders” are awkward to use as pot holders and better suited to put hot plates or casseroles on top of.
