TruthtellerFred: Lots of people are saying this is too small or cheaply made because it split when they tried to jam it on. In fact, this does happen IF YOU DON'T TAKE THE PAPER FILTER OUT FIRST.

I mean, let's think about it. This is a foam filter meant to be used when cleaning up wet stuff. Water mostly. Do you want to run water through a paper filter? No, of course not. But slipping a foam filter over the paper filter means you are doing just that, only it goes through the foam filter first.

Take the paper filter out. First because water ruins them and you'll have to pay to replace it and second because these foam filters are meant to slide on over the suction cage, not the bulky paper filter.

Otherwise, these things are great and last quite a while, although not forever. You could try rinsing it out after using it and letting it dry properly as well. Word.
