The loofah is 2 inches long and wide. Great if you’re under 5 feet tall and petite. I had to use both brushes at the same time which is fine. One of the loofahs is loose after 3 uses. The handles are fine. I’ll end up tacking the 2 brushes together.

Finally got around to using this item.
Not quite five minutes into my shower, the loofa came off the handle.
I don't know yet if the second one will fall apart also, I didn't want to be p i s s e d off TWICE in one day.
Cannot recommend this item at all.

After looking all over town for a replacement loofah back scrubber, I decided to bite the bullet and order one from Amazon. Amazon delivery was very fast.
The product itself is excellent. The first thing I did with mine was to soak it in some water. This made the loofah re-hydrate and go into its natural shape. This also softens the loofah a bit. Alot of people have problems with their loofah because they skip this step.
This is great for exfoliating my skin and scrubbing my back. Just like my old loofah that I found locally.
The "bugs" that people see in the loofah are 9 times out of 10 the seeds of the loofah. Sometimes they get stuck and don't get removed during processing. When you use it and the seeds get wet, they start to germinate roots and people think they look like bugs. The seeds also soften up when they germinate and as a result, thats why you it suddenly falls out of the loofah.
I took one star off because the handle is a tad short. But overall pleasant experience.

Many of the reviews here say that the loofah is too hard even when wet, but that's how natural loofah sponges work. It's not meant to be soft, and is good for physical exfoliation. If your skin is sensitive then I suggest a different type of sponge. Personally for me, this is great at removing dead skin and I love that it has a handle. It makes it much easier for me to clean my back.
