KrisRN: Best book for new grads hands down. I have 5 other ER books I bought before this one when I was a new grad but this is the only one I ever needed. I'm Reading through it cover to cover now that I'm studying for my CEN, and I wished I would've read it sooner! It seems like every question I've ever had at work I'm finding the answer to in this book. Chapters are extremely short and concise, giving you details on what the ED RN needs to know about the subject without extraneous information.

Kindle Customer: I've had this book for maybe 2 years. I purchased it during my first year as an ER nurse and still carry it with me or leave it at home and refer to it when something comes up. The chapters are broken into sections, it's easy to navigate through, the content is good. The book does not go into every minute detail, but it gives you the nuts and bolts you need. Now that I'm 2+ years into my ER experience, I'm going to read this cover to cover to study for the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) exam.
I would recommend this to any nurse in the emergency department, new or experienced as a great resource. It's nice to have a quick refresher right at your fingertips when you're expected to be a Jack/Jill of all trades in the ED.

Carole-Line Dempsey: This textbook is great to prepare yourself for your emergency certification. It is well organized, and being a visual learner, the tables are put together well. Fast delivery, and in excellent condition.
