Watch the metal clips on the connecting straps, it's possible that they can come off.

Nativegirl49: This cover fits my large ironing board perfectly and I'm very happy with the amount of padding it provides. The creases (folds) from packaging smoothed out the first time I used it and really didn't need the clips provided to ensure a good fit.

JoahJ: I thought that I'd have to DIY a replacement cover for my trusty old 12 1\2" x
30" ironing board until I found this one! This wonderfully thick ironing board cover has a generous gathered elastic edge which provides a very secure fit. I didn't need to use the clip attachments, but I appreciated that they were included, as is a nifty, protective ironing cloth. I also liked that the covers pattern is a simple grey, wide diagonal stripe which looks great in the laundry room.

Amanda G.: I have two large ironing boards and find this to work well with both a regular heavy duty steam iron as well as a gravity iron. I will say that it's a little disheartening when first put on to see the wrinkles, but they quickly smooth out after a couple of uses and ironing the cover itself.

I use silicone rests for the gravity iron since it doesn't stand vertically. It has lightly scorched the pad in a couple of places where it was placed directly on the cover for too long but so far so good. The last cover I had got burned through to padding after the iron was repeatedly left on the cover by accident. It had a long useful life so was very happy with. I use the other ironing board with this cover as well and use as a working surface for everything from computer work to assembling craft projects and repairing clothes. It is stain resistant and heat resistant -- though my small project iron does get pretty hot and I am careful to use a silicone rest for it so it won't scorch since it's not always stable in vertical position.

Definitely recommend.

Firefighter751: Easy to fit to my bench top ironing board. Would have preferred a simple draw string like most have but this one is supplied with 4 suspender type fixings. Fitted in minutes so just a minor point.
