ShannonShannon: This vacuum is old school awesome with the ease of modern assembly! It simply clicks together and you're ready to roll. Just used it for the first time. The design is simple with a carpet or bare floor power setting; no cumbersome adjustment of a dial on the brushroll for 5 different floor levels that don't make a difference anyway. It has a dial up by the handle in which you can adjust the suction by! How cool is that? To release the brush roll, you just put your foot on it to lower the handle--no pedals to push. The holding tank is secured by two latches. Some reviews say they don't like like that; they'd rather have one that snaps in. However, I find the latches to hold the tank in super well so the suction isn't compromised. The brushroll is unique and claimed self-cleaning; we'll see. Lastly, while using the floor mode with the dial set to moderate suction, I did all my hard floors and there is NO kickback of cat litter or other debris anywhere which is impressive in itself!

dls: Sometimes...mom doesn't always know best!
I used this vacuum cleaner while staying at my son's house. Soon as I got back home, I had to order one for myself. I could hardly wait until it was delivered. It was easy to assemble and doesn't take up a lot of space in the utility closet. I had to try it out immediately. Worked like a charm. It does an excellent job cleaning without prejudice as to the type of floors (I have tile, marble and carpet). Finally, came the ultimate test...the stairs. WOW! it was terrific and so easy to use. The carpet nap is lifted so nicely throughout. I am thrilled with this vacuum. Finally...a vacuum that doesn't cost a fortune and one that actually does what is intended (and expected to do). You're going to love it.

VerronicaVerronica: So this is one of those things that will make you mad you went so long without. Where do I start... It is the smoothest vacuum ever and has super suction without the hard to push part. It almost feels like a stick vacuum with suction of a full size. It feels like it's on a traction ball if that makes sense, FANTASTIC DESIGN. It can go at 90 degree angles with ease, no picking it up to maneuver or changing your stance/position. The canister was full of dirt and cat hair that my old vacuum left behind. I like this better for my bathroom and kitchen rather than sweeping now. It's also great on rugs (even small ones) without having to hold the rug down with one foot etc. I was shocked!! It's silly when you look forward to the day when you need to vacuum again = )

J. H.: First of all, the price is good for this and in general I'm happy with it. This review is for Shark ZU561 Navigator Lift-Away Speed Self Cleaning Brushroll Lightweight Upright Vacuum. I had a Dyson Pet vacuum for about 15 years before this purchase, and of course it cost a lot more and was a better machine, so I had some adjusting to do. There are a couple of things that I'm not crazy about with this vacuum, but I think it was worth the money I spent on it. I'll put both likes and dislikes here. 1) The cord is at the bottom of the machine. When you're vacuuming, you often hold the cord. The cord should be at the top for easy grabbing - on all corded vacuums in my opinion. 2) The cord should be just a bit longer, maybe five more feet. 3) The length of the wand itself, as well as its reach, is not long enough. It should extend more. 4) I like that it is a light vacuum. That is helpful. But when you use the wand, since the vacuum is so light, the whole unit falls over very easily. 5) The roller brush really does not collect hair, strings, or fur like other vacuums (so far). I've used my vacuum about five times for an average size home and only needed to pull off a string and a...

FeliciaFelicia: I bought this vacuum on sale for prime days 2023. It was just delivered today 7/16. This is the 2nd shark I've purchased. The other was bought 2 years ago and promptly returned as it did not work well at all. So I was very hesitant to try again. But I have no regrets! I did spend several weeks reading up on other models. I compared the navigator to the rotator and all that. Even after weeks of thinking I could mot decide which to get because they all had great reviews and were attractive looking.
Now, I cannot believe I paid so much for a vacuum without a retractable cord but I also can't believe that I waited so long! SHARK very clearly focused their energy on function vs fancy features and I'm not mad about it!

My carpet is 3 years old. I am 1 person without children. I do have 2 cats and occasionally dog sit for family. I also live in AZ where it is very dusty. I do occasionally wear shoes in the house but very infrequently And my shoes are never very dirty. I don't keep windows open much bc of all the dirt and dust. I vacuum 1 to 2x a week with a Bissell that I have had for around 6 years.

Mitchell Dueck: Here are my first impressions after using the vacuum.

Pros:
-I was pleased to see that most of the hair vacuumed up didn't end up on the roller due to the zero M technology. I was vacuuming on carpet and there weren't any piles of hair, but the vacuum only left about 1 or 2% of the hair on the roller, the rest made it into the collection bin.
-The pivoting connection between the upper handle part and lower base with the roller, this allows for great control and maneuverability.
-The base of the vacuum has a lower profile than my previous model and I liked how I could go further under dressers and beds by lowering the handle towards the floor.
-The power cord is nice and soft and wasn't uncomfortable when I stepped on it accidentally with my bare feet.
-The additional attachments can be used with the lift away mode in such a way that you don't need to include the extra 2 foot piping extension as well (although you can use this extra length if you prefer). My previous vacuum couldn't get in hard to reach places, like behind the toilet, because it's lift away type of mode had 2 feet of unbendable piping attached.

Cons:
-The power cord is about 10 or 20...
