Pros:
- Doesn't take up much space in the diaper bag
- Peace of mind that I can put food on it for my son
- Sticks easily on any table surface (wood, plastic)
Cons:
- During a few occasions, my son (10 month old) has been able to rip the placemat off the table
- Though the designs are nice, it is the same design on all the mats which my son no longer finds much interest in
Despite the cons, I will still continue to purchase this product as it has been such a big help for us every time we eat out.

It's great to have when needed, but It only gets 3 stars because it became a game with my daughter to rip it off the table before food could be placed on it. (This started when she was about 7 months?)
Pros- On a dirty table it is so much nicer to be able to put on the table and know it is sanitary.
On flat surfaces it sticks fairly well.
Has fun Elmo designs that she would probably like when she got older
You can tear it off and throw it on your plate when leaving so that you cut down (a little bit) on the mess.
Cons- Although all 4 sides are sticky it can still easily be ripped off.
If the table is not flat it doesn't stick very well (More tables than you think are not smooth flat surfaces).
I still consider this a must have and will probably buy it for baby number 2 for when it is better than nothing...but more often than not i opt to not use it and just use an antibacterial wipe to clean the table instead.

We LOVE using these when we eat out. I keep a few in my purse or baby's diaper bag. He is at a stage where he loves to DROP everything, so dishes don't work too well for him, especially glass dishes from a restaurant. I used to wipe the table as good as I could, and let him eat from the table top until I found these little gems. Now I can rest assured that he's not picking up any extra germs and give him a clean surface to eat from. They stick well to wood tables, but don't stick as well to some other surfaces. The Sesame design is also great and keeps baby occupied and entertained, which is a huge plus when you're brave enough to take baby out to eat!

These are a lifesaver. I was inspired to go looking for these after using the similar type of item at Chick-Fil-a. They were especially handy while traveling... we could slap them on any restaurant table without the guilt of a mess being left behind by our toddler.
The adhesive is tacky, but does not leave any residue.
The Sesame Street pictures on the front are great--just enough distraction for the toddler if you didn't bring other toys or books along.
I wish they were a little bit cheaper--or sold in larger bulk quantities to get the average cost per piece down, but are still worth it at this price for eating anywhere away from home.

This product works great! It has adhesive on all four sides (unlike another review said). We just have to peel the plastic backing on the adhesive (the plastic is static-y, so it's easier if you have another person to take the plastic while you continue to peel other sides), and then position it on the table.
We like to leave a little extra room to cover under the table since our LO likes to run her little hands around the edge.
The design is cute too and you can describe it to your LO to distract him/her.
Given that, I wish it was a little wider though. Maybe for babies/kids who are more still, this might not be an issue, but our LO likes to reach for everything so it seems like this topper doesn't cover enough area. I guess I can use two, but that's overkill. Maybe just 5-6 more inches wider would've been helpful!
