upte_daddy: We love having these! We don't eat out a lot but when we do, they are great to have. Our two girls are too young to eat off plates, without wanting to pick them up, so having these have been awesome. I was a little apprehensive in buying them because some people said that they didn't stick to tables. We have had zero issue with that. They actually work a little too well sometimes. If you put it on a little wrinkles and want to straighten it out, you have to take the whole thing off because it is so sticky. But it's not sticky to where it would leave any residue. All in all, an awesome product. Definitely will buy again if we run out and our girls still need them.

Placeholder: Great idea! My 10 month was able to sit in his chair and we could eat like a family together... so on our 1st attempt, wife asked 'How come there's only sticky strips on the top and bottom but not the sides?'. I said 'don't know but im sure it was thought out and they don't need them'.... so as soon as we put food on it, it didn't take too long for my boy to slip his fingers through the sides and rip it half off. Since then, as soon as we put it down, hes going for the sides. I'm sure since it's 'forbidden by my parents, i have to do it!'. We still put them down (bought 2 packs) but have to hold each side because my boy will yank it right off... anyone else have the same issue?

Tall Paul: Pretty good! Honestly, I picked it because of the colorful picture on the front. (And we did have fun pointing out all the animals to our son.) The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that there is no adhesive to keep the sides down. I saw that feature advertised on other products and thought, "Ah, who cares?" When I stuck this placemat down to the table, the top and bottom adhesive did fine sticking the placemat to the table (even with some water on the table). The problem came when my one-year old swiped his hand from the side and then found that he could get those little fingers under the side and pull the placemat up. I had to sit beside him and put my forearm along the side of the placemat to keep it on the table. So, in the future, maybe they'll put adhesive on all 4 sides – or I'll try a product that has that feature.
