Papala: These straps are long, which is why I bought them, the ratchets are solid and easy to use, there are additional double loop pieces of strap that can be used in many ways and there's a storage bag to keep everything together behind the seat.

Kenneth Martyna: I had an issue with one of my older tie downs loosing its holding power. Granted thay are twenty years old. I upgraded to the Rocket Straps and that are an excellent choice the safety spring latch is a plus. Very nice product and the carrying bag is an awesome addition. They are rated at working cap. of 1000# and the breaking cap. Is 3000#. Good value for the buck.

Nicer Than Average: Rocket Straps 1" x 17' WLL: 586 lbs

Pros:
* Safety lock spring on hooks is a nice feature
* long straps, about 3' longer than my old set
* rubberized handle stays tightly on to ratchet
* soft straps are very useful when there is no good place to use the hooks

Cons:
* thickness of the straps is less than comparable products. They are 0.82mm compared to 0.97mm on another 500 lbs strap.
* stretched over time. Had to ratchet them up after a few months. Might have come unhooked if not for the spring locks.
* red faded to a dull orange
* ratchet metal sturdiness is comparable to medium priced sets from big box store

Summary:
I would not purchase these again. I will not recommend Rocket Straps as a premium brand. I will continue to use for short durations when a long strap is needed.

Dash V: These seem to be the best value for the money for a set of ratchet straps. They work great, securely holding items in the bed of my truck. The straps are very easy to use, high quality and super easy to release when you're ready to take them off.
