This rack would be good at any price. At the current cost it is fantastic.
I have owned a lot of different bike racks from Thule, Yakima, Saris and others. This is as sturdy as any and more versatile than most. Adjustments are quick and easy. The wheel trays should fit any size tire.
Construction is almost entirely steel, very heavy gauge confidence inspiring, steel. Plastic is only used as a shim to reduce friction on the adjustable parts and for the contact knobs.
The delivered package was deceptively small. That was probably good as larger items are more likely to be damaged in shipment. Everything was very will packed and protected.
It took about 45 minutes to assemble and fit the rack. The instructions were above average. All the parts were nicely packaged in small groups. The instructions listed the parts bag number for each item, but only one bag had the corresponding number. Fortunately. the way the individual pieces were packaged made it very easy to figure out what nut and bolt went where. No mistakes were made. For me that's unusual.

After reviewing dozens of postings for bike racks and their associated reviews, I chose this one. I liked the locking mechanism and the stability feature. The price was far lower than similar racks. I had a 2" hitch installed by U-Haul onto my Subaru Outback for this rack. The rack arrived and was very easy to assemble. It's also pretty heavy so you might need help to move the original boxed product inside of your home. Once assembled, it's easier to move around. I bought this for a Tri road bike but it's built sturdy enough to haul a much heavier bike/bikes. The stabilization feature is AWESOME. The lock works GREAT. The tire straps are well designed and work perfectly. The top bar that lowers onto the bike frame needs to be tight as I had one trip where it worked it's way up after driving on a bumpy road. There's a safety strap provided to assure that if the top bar moves, your bike will still be secure. This is one of the best products that I have purchased from Amazon. I highly recommend it :)

First comment, I love this thing! I bought this item to carry a tandem bike, even though the description showed that the maximum wheelbase is 63" Don't believe it! To carry just a single bike, I was able to set it up to carry my tandem with a wheelbase of 68.5" with perfect strength and security.
The instructions take a little interpretation so read them very carefully, as I initially thought it was missing some parts, but they are all there. Easy to assemble, but you will need the following tools: 17 & 19 mm wrenches. 5, 6 & 7mm allen wrenches. You won't be able to assemble without tools.
VERY happy with my purchase and wold highly recommend.

I have not used this bike rack yet. It was relatively easy to build with basic Wrenches you probably have at home. It does not come with any tools to assemble. It is large, heavy and seems cumbersome and awkward to work around it. I have not tried to put a bike on it yet. I do like the fact that it comes with a U bolt for extra security on your trailer hitch. I’m hoping it will be sturdy enough for my electric bike that weighs almost 60 pounds. Hoping it's easy to lift once the bike is placed on it. The shipping box it comes in is not heavy duty enough for the weight of it's contents. Parts were sticking out if the box when it was delivered. This would not have happened if there manufacturer used a heavier duty and thicker box to ship it in. My previous review was declined because of my complaint about how package arrived. This IS definitely a shipping container choice the manufacturer has chosen and I have a right to complain about the poor choice of cheap box they choose to ship product in. I am not making any claims about the shipping service that delivered it.

I like that they include a locking hitch pin and anti rattle kit with it.
