Mom8691: I’ve used a similar support before so was glad to find this at a reasonable price. It is best suited to a small AC unit . It is not a substantial as I had expected. It is much shorter than my previous support and made of a lighter metal. I have an old AC unit which is rather heavy. I had to modify the installation to use this support safely.
Would recommend for a 5,000 BTU newer AC unit. You do have to drill into the windowsill. If I had not already used this type so I already had drilled holes .
