kashkash: This is the coolest little gadget for little money that I've played with in a while. It is high quality, easy to set up, and very configurable. The only downside I can think of is that you can't pair it with an older "Homelink" button system in a vehicle (mine is a 2014 Toyota). Background/long story: I just bought a house with a very old garage door opener and the remote control box was dirt old and all the remotes were missing. There was also some sort of unknown remote control unit for the floodlight on the garage with no remotes either. After my install and tinkering with the settings, I have the garage door relay (2) set to "pulse 1.5s" and the flood light relay (1) set to "timed 4 hours" (as a timeout in case someone leaves it on by accident). I added a relay https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089QCG6GK in the original light switch box where the flood light remote was so that the full current of the light wasn't running all the way up the remote wire to the unit next to the garage door opener. You'll want to download the full manual online if you want to do any advanced time settings like that. The "standard mode" is a little more limited. Adding remotes/buttons...

Danny: EE Here: I have an ancient Genie Garage Door Opener from the 1990's that is very easy to radio hack. So years ago, I disconnected it's receiver and began parking my car in the driveway, using only the interior wall button to open and close the garage door. I was planning to design and program my own garage door opener radio set using the 2.4Ghz NRF24L01, and an Atmel AVR MCU, it would have worked but good god, tons of work! I'm so glad I found this product - The SolidRemote 202U is more secure, is robust and very well designed, and uses great quality key fobs, all for the price of a basic lunch here in Silicon Valley! I am super happy.

SynergySynergy: Easy to program and install. Comes in self contained container that houses all electronics. Connect output of respective relay to door button. The outputs simply act as a connection to activate door motors. Good line of sight distance response 200+ ft. My only complaint is that the remote control fobs are very small so that it is easy to activate both doors by fumbling for the right button to push. I programed adjacent buttons A&B. Hindsight suggests that they be better programmed diagonally A&D or B&C. I will work on that when I get around to it!! By the way I didn't need any tech support. The item is great and inexpensive. I powered it with a 12 volt DC wall wort!

michla: I like the quality of the components on this board and the enclosure is rock-solid, but as usual the instructions lack some clarity. There is a mention of visiting their website if help is needed but the website isn't working as of 8/2/23. I had to "experiment" with the DIP switches to find the latching I wanted and even then there was no consistency in the sequence of switch positions and predictability when setting the memory using the key fob. The instructions are VERY vague about the DIP switches and how to go about storing the memory after changing them. Still, it was a good quality buy and I would recommend if you don't mind tinkering some extra time to make it do what you want.

Greg C: Easy to connect and setup using instructions included. I needed to replace a failing garage door remote and wired it across the manual pushbutton switches for two doors. This unit works from 90+ feet through a garage having brick walls and metal doors. Would buy again.

Steven Dubnoff: This is a bargain. The manual is brief, but understandable. They have a support forum with actual people answering questions and a bunch of videos that make things clear. I had a kind of unusual problem. I wanted button A to turn something on and Button B to turn it off. Because I could not see the state of the device I was controlling needed more of a switch than a toggle. I assumed it couldn't do this. But the answer was on the forum, complete with a video. This receiver is just amazingly flexible. This is really great stuff and at reasonable price!

mikee: I purchased this unit to replace the failed remote opening receiver on my old garage door opener. The unit works flawlessly for this purpose using one of the relays NO contacts operating in Pulse/Momentary mode. The whole unit is well constructed, for example the screws holding on the box cover, screw into threaded inserts rather than just a hole drilled in the plastic. I'm really pleased with this purchase.
