Secura Stainless Steel Double-Wall Electric Kettle for Hot Water Heating

Judy: I really do love this kettle!! I have tried others but my biggest complaint has been that the water does nor stay hot. Just like when you boil water in the microwave it cools off very quickly. I thought part of the problem is that those others simply shut off too quickly!

This Secura kettle stays on for a bit after the boil point is reached. I Believe that is why the water (my tea or whatever) keeps it's heat longer. THAT IS WHY I LOVE THIS DEVICE!!

Okay, there's more. It's a great size and it looks nice on the counter. we have had it for a couple of months now and it has performed consistently and reliably. . isn't that what we all want? NO DRAMA.

Emma: I’m forgetful and this pot shuts off once it achieves a good boil. It is fast and dependable. Love the red color in my kitchen. It’s light and a great purchase. I have looked for one for a long time that had no plastic pieces in the water. I’d love one even a bit smaller but this is a great product.

Hunter: This a smaller 1 liter (quart) size and perfect for two people making coffee/ tea. It’s very fast so if more is needed it wouldn’t take long. I love the stainless steel interior and that the pitcher is removable from the base. I ordered orange and the color is not as bright as the photo, almost peach. The cord wraps around beneath the base to adjust the length however the cord is thick and doesn’t stay in place easily. The base is lightweight so when the pitcher is removed the base tends to move too. My only real complaint is the cord plug. I wish it were the flat design with the cord running along the wall like others I’ve had. Both the cord and plug are sturdy so stick out 4 inches from the wall, not as tidy as I’d like. It’s not something we’d stow since it’s used multiple times a day. Works great though so I’m keeping it.

Dan Baxley: What I love about this hot water pot --
1.Cool sides, not burn touch
2.Full lined stainless steel -- no seam
3.Size -- easy to hand and pour
4.Heats fast -- Instant coffee is only 3 minutes away
5.Look -- very neat, stylish, and very well built
6. Thermal temp, sort of -- it is built like a Thermos. Even the lid is double clad -- stainless inside of a plastic shell.
What I don't like:
1. The lid lock and latch are a bit odd. But, the style of it is very nice. So, it is a con/pro quality
2. The Electric Cord, is industrial grade and stiff, because of its heavy size -- like something you would find on an electric drill. Again, this is a con/pro -- never worry about being underpowered.
3. Price -- on the pricier side, compared to others -- But, again a con/pro -- this pot is worth it, period.

Dan A: I've used this nearly every single day for over two months, often several times per day, and I'm very happy with it. I spent literally hours comparing dozens of different kettles (foolish of me, good for you), and I'm confident I made the right choice with this one. I'm the type to nitpick and notice any design flaws, and while I'm reluctant to use the word 'perfect', the fact that I have zero complaints about this says a lot!

Actually, at first I ordered a larger version from the same manufacturer, and ended up returning it for this one. Both were fine, but this was better for me: Primarily because this has a smaller minimum fill level (300 ml). That means less energy use and faster boil time, since the vast majority of the time I just need enough for one cup of coffee or oatmeal (300 ml is still usually more than I need, but this is better than most kettles on the market).

It also takes up less space on my counter, and I like that the lid opens a full 90°. I don't mind the manual instead of spring-loaded opening, if anything I prefer it, and that probably makes it more durable. The base is good and grippy so it stays where I put it. I haven't had to clean it yet...
