J. Nelson: This vent kit is a really good replacement. The only complaint that I have is the window connector was difficult to fit into the hose. It is a really tight fit...took two of us to get it 'screwed' into place.
But it does work just as it should.

J. Nodvik: Watched many YT videos and bought the most powerful portable AC I could find - 14K BTU 10K BTU actual. (((btw: 10.5K BTU actual is the strongest consumer portable out there and I think only one brand sells it.. ))) This coupler does what it is supposed too, but unfortunately the design of exhaust hoses overall is rinky dink. Depending on the power of your AC the hot air will escape at the connection and this lowers the efficiency dramatically depending on proximity to the intake. Whether it is the length of the power cord that HAS to be plugged into the wall, or the length of the original hose, or proximity of an electrical outlet with an available window "a man must know his limitations" to quote ole Dirty Harry. You can remedy the issue on the couplet by sealing the connections with heavy duty insulation tape ($$) or you can get a longer hose and reduce leakage weak points. Note these hoses heat up big time... so that too must be considered. There is no getting around it. I Essentially replaced the 60 in hose with an 80 in. The coupler is handy as a backup should I want to use it for difficult locations... but in the end my guess I won't use it very...
