Gordian V. Ehrlacher: Over the last several months, I bought 2 bags of these seeds. The fist bag only half the seeds grew. I waited over a month and the patch of soil where i planted the seed only half grew. So i bought the 2nd bag. double seeded the area that did not grow. Now a month later, half of the area still is only half grown. A few new blades. But they hardly covered the area left bare from the first bag. I'm going to try a patch of pre-grown grass. Hope that does the trick. Gordian

BIG KAHUNA: First of all the bag says to shake the contents to evenly distribute the seed. OK Now what you got is A LOT of mulch some seed and fertilizer. Very hard to tell if the seed is evenly distributed. I had about 10 spots I wanted to repair, this seed partially worked in half, not good coverage. I followed the instructions to the letter. For this price not worth the effort. Now I am going back to my old tried and true grass seed, just plain old grass seed. Raked in covered with peat moss and straw, a little more effort but works every time.

P. Alther: We moved recently, and the house we moved into had a lawn that needed some work. A portion of the berm and the front yard was dirt, populated by crab grass and clover, and some spots I would mow over would produce big dust clouds. Not enough bald patches to justify getting sod (in my opinion), but too much where simply seeding would likely attract birds and/or create more work (putting down hay, netting, etc.). Like many of you, I work full time, have a family, and simply don't have the time to do all of that and, given weather patterns, can't rely on the weekend to take care of it. I have better things to do.

Looking at the product description, it has a mix of Kentucky bluegrass, fescue, and rye, a great mix of both fast growing and hardy seeds perfect for Zone 6 regions, and also contains fertilizer and recycled mulch. I started filling in patchy spots in April (it is July as I write this), but rather than doing every spot that needed to be filled in, I decided to work in sections. Given how the temperatures have been fluctuating so much (NASA actually just reported that June 2023 was the hottest June on record) and I wasn't certain how much rain we...

mj: Love this seed _ comes in its own medium - no having to lightly cover with dirt and is growing in a shady patch where heretofore would never take hold. It’s going to be lush and green. Highly recommend.

curtis schaefer: After about a month of watering I had a few green sprouts. I got a different generic brand at the dollar store and in 10 days I had a hole patch of grass started about 5 by 20 patch. I've used different brands before and know how to do it and this brand unfortunately did not hold up to expectations. Very disappointed with a great name brand company.

Darlene: I would like to start by saying that I have an elderly female dog coup just wants to leave the patio and pee as close as possible so she can go back in the house. Needless to say she is wreaking havoc in that area. I worked up the soil and added lime because I understand that that will help sweeten the soil and help grass to grow. However, it is very slow going and we have to coax her to go further so as not to pee in the same spot. This was complicated in Pennsylvania because there was no snow this year to even partially protect the grass from her urine. In other spots non urine damage related it worked extremely well and field in quickly.
