Most of my equipment are Schwinn products .....
This pump works well for me, workmanship is excellent, great product , does the job, all metal, PSI gauge, even has a kit attached. I inflate my road bike tires in no time.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I bought this pump to replace a cheaper, Walmart pump ( 8 yrs old, also Schwinn brand and made by Pacific Cycle) that died after my son wrestled with it while attempting to put air in his bike tires (the plastic pump head snapped off).
What I use it for:
1. Topping off air in car/SUV tires
2. Mountain bike tires (both Schraeder and Presta valve)
3. Basketball, football and all sorts of balls
I'm not, by any means, a professional mountain biker. However, I do go out on trails occasionally and am not a beginner or someone that just goes bike riding to the local neighborhood park. I believe this is important to mention for those who intend to use this pump for something other than a supermarket bike. I believe this would well on a supermarket bike. If you have something nicer and are worried about the quality of this pump, fret not. It works just fine. I'm not an expert on bike gear but as far as I can tell, this works just as good as any Topeak or Nashbar pumps that I've used.
Why I like this air pump:
1. It's light, affordable and looks good.
2. The gauge is easy to read.
3. The...

I loved this pump from the moment I took it out of the box. It was packaged well and anything that could have come loose was zip tied together. I was a little concerned about issues with the pressure gauge as had been noted by another reviewer, but so far it's been nothing but perfect.
It's easily one of the most efficient and quick pumps I've ever had. It is designed well with a very large gauge and the rod comes back quite far. It takes pretty minimal effort to pump up my bike tires. I ride at around 80-85 psi, and it usually takes around 5 or 6 full pumps to get my tires from around 40 psi up to where I need them. So I'd say maybe count on 8 to 12 full pumps to fill a road bike tire from empty. It really doesn't require much strength or effort to push down, and given how far the rod comes out it really is a short process.
The base has plenty of room for your feet to stand comfortably and I really particularly like the fact that the tube clips into the handle which allows you to carry the pump by the handle without the rod extending out. Essentially by clipping the hose in, it locks the handle down. The head (or whatever you call it... the part...

Flapjack McQuack: Certainly not portable but very good for home. Use the PSI meter seems to me to be at least within two or 3 pounds per square inch of pressure not a huge margin of error. I’ve only ever used it on road bikes, so I can only speak to how well it works with Presta valves which is pretty good. You need to take care in positioning it properly so air doesn’t escape as you’re pumping but as long as you do that it’s an excellent device that it’s quite durable and great for checking pressure and getting it right before you set out for the trail head.
