Sticky Wick: These charge and take charge many times, but capacity seems to fold more quickly than I expected. I would buy them again, but not if I found better reviews. To be fair I don't use them weekly or even monthly. When I pull them out of the drawer I get mixed performance.

S. Holmes: I have abouit 4 dozen of these and keep them all charged for emergencies. I hardly ever use any other type of battery. BUT BE CAREFUL. I've had about 10 of them leak for no apparent -- too hot in a car, for example -- reason. They ooze a white sticky liquid out the end, which I assume will eat away any stuff it comes in contact with. Sanyo has been good about replacing them, but I wonder how they'd be if I asked them to replace an expensive electronic device that was ruined. Keep you eye on them. I store mine in small sets in freezer ziplock-type bags.

Tim: I have own sets of these over the years and just love the fact that they hold energy well when stored, charge quickly, perform well in devices, and they help the environment. I only wish they made 9V for all the Smoke Alarms in the house.

The one thing you have to do if you have a family is training them to never throw away white batteries. My first sets of batteries disappeared without me noticing because I forgot to tell them.

The the starter kit are great to hold batteries and the charge in a nice neat container. I am going to replace the batteries in all my devices as they run out of alkalines. The overall cost up front is a little expensive but once you stop using alkalines and recharging batteries up to 1500 times it makes alkalines look like a poor financial choice. Get a solar charger and you can have a power source for all your small devices without worrying about store shelves being empty.

A. Mefford: I love the Sanyo Eneloop batteries. They work so well, much better than the older rechargeables. With 5 kids there is a constant demand for batteries and these make it possible to provide them. Now if the kids wouldn't loose them.

In any case I use these AAA batteries in my TV remotes, in an electronic pepper mill, in a led head lamp. Basically anywhere that I need batteries.

The Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables have outlasted many other brands of rechargeables even other Pre-Charged NiMH batteries, including those from Duracell and Engergizer.

They will save you money and help protect the environment from the toxic chemicals that are used in the manufacture of batteries.

ubuibi: i made a review up for the "AA" batteries, and to be fair have tested them more thoroughly. i use less "AAA" batteries and the ones i do are in low draw devices like remotes, calculators, cb radios (that i never use), small flashing bike lights. i suppose with that said, they have been good down to around 20 degrees at the current winter temps. they last long periods in devices... many have never actually been charged yet. i think the first batch i bought of these was probably just over 6 months ago. the "AA"'s were definitely contenders with real batteries though. be sure you dont cheap out and get a crappy charger though. check out the la cross charger i also reviewed. together these make a great combo.

Update* I still think these batteries are great. However, they are a little under the 800mA rating. They are consistently falling in the 750mA range, unlike the AA that 7 out of 8 are over the rating. One of those even hit 2020 mA! (They are only rated for 1900mA)
