J.V.Rice: My truck is a 2012 and was not wired for the turn lights in the mirror. went to Ram 1500 forum and found what I needed and ran the wires as required. The turn and puddle lights work great.

Dave B.: For the price these are a nice replacement mirror set. They are painted Gloss Black backings vs the Flat black of the OEM mirrors. For my truck it is actually a better match as my truck is Gloss Black. The glass quality difference is noticable but you do get used to it vs the OEM glass. OEM mirrors are $742.00 each from Dodge and on a 2014 Ram I wanted to try these out to see how they stacked up to the OEM. The in glass signals that face rearward are a nice touch until you drive down a country road at night and they obscure your view of the corner you're taking as they become too bright. Easy to install as long as you're comfortable taking the inner door panel off, not an issue as I'm an auto mechanic and repair garage owner. If your Ram does not have the "Bullwinkle" towing mirrors then this would be a cheap option for you to toss on your lower end Ram.

warren morgan: The only thing different from the factory mirrors i removed is the wiring harness on the new ones is about 8 inches shorter but still reached the mating plugs by rerouting the wire.

Ron Phillips: These Gen-4 Ram tow mirrors were delivered quickly. They were packaged well and arrived in perfect shape. I really appreciated the fact that they were not damaged and did not need to be returned for any reason. I took my time and spent about an hour to remove the original mirrors and install these new tow mirrors on my 2017 RAM 2500 HD. Installation was simple and when I tested them every feature worked well including the LED turn signals and puddle lights. The mirror adjustment controls also worked correctly in both the horizontal and the upright positions. They are well made and seem to be nice and solid. I did purchase the separate door braces and installed them at the same time. I have owned two different RAM trucks in the past with the OEM tow mirrors and these look just like the OEM mirrors and appear to be about the same quality. I would recommend them and would purchase them again if needed.
