Amazon Shopper: Took this all the way on holiday, only to find out you need a tiny phillips head screwdriver to unscrew latch to insert battery. It comes with ZERO instructions. Would have been helpful to know you require a precision screwdriver to open it. Finally bought a mini phillips head to unscrew latch, however it is impossible to open. The latch is screwed on so tightly it won’t budge, its impossible to open without destroying the screw and breaking it! So its been useless thus far. Disappointing.
Update: Ordered another one thinking the original one I got had a faulty screw.
2nd one arrived, SAME ISSUE!
The screw is impossible to open without damaging it. That screw is not coming off, so I can’t install battery.
Returning both!

Jaena Gumapac: I bought this after seeing it recommended on TikTok by a security expert. I'm a female and I travel for work. I wanted to feel secure. I also got that so when my family travels we can feel more secure. It needs a 9V battery (the square battery), so add that to your cart as well. It has an easy on and off switch. It's very sensitive. I picked it up and my hand barely touched the silver part (the trigger) and it went off. It's very loud. I'm pretty sure I woke the neighbors up, which I find a plus because I'd want others to be altered if someone unwanted came into my room.

Derek: I had one of these for years. I've been using this brand for a while. This one's even louder than the one I had before and I think it will probably last me another five or six years. This is a fantastic door stopper alarm.

Rain: It will alert you if that lever goes down just set it behind the door you want to protect and click the button to on and that’s it it will sound off if that door opens I bought two for my elderly friend who could use these for added safety measures and he appreciated them. (Oh and by the way you have to buy the batteries for it)

Catherine OCatherine O: Looks like the product works as described. Would have been given a five star if not for the complete absence of battery installation instructions. I eventually figured out that the "hanging part" had to be firmly "capped" over the battery for it to fit the compartment. I think. That was the only way I got it to work. Surprised that only one other reviewer mentioned this issue.

Dylan C.: Purchased these for traveling, as I assume most do. We've used them for close to a year now in hotels both in Canada and the US, and Air BnB's.
They work in two ways:
1) The metal plate completes a circut which trips a loud alarm
2) The wedge shape allows for blocking of doors that open inward by jamming the door "up" and binding up the hinges, barring physical entry.
This is dependent on a few factors:
The door opens inward
The door is at a proper enough height to facilitate such an action
The floor surface is grippy enough to not allow the device to slide.
They work absolutely well, with a few caveats, but first the positives.
Pros:
The are loud (almost debilitating in small rooms) , don't take up a lot of room and are pretty simple to use.
Cons:
They won't fit under all doors due to the height of them. Some doors are too low, others too high.
On some surfaces they will slide, because you can't get a good wedge because pushing it too far under the door will trip the sensor.
By attaching two together with an elastic band, I have managed to make them go off, but not block the door to an effectiveness level that I felt comfortable...
