T O-leary: Does not compare well in loudness and tone to the "storm" type. As a whistle worn around the neck it was thin enough that I barely noticed it was there so it will work well for that.

Brenda: A whistle is sumthing that really evryone should carry..really..but like EVRYTHING else there are so, so many to choose from..I watch so many videos on u-tube on bushcrafting & such & wen sumthing is mentioned, straight to Amazon I go to check it out..well I heard this whistle brand mentioned several times so I checked it out..it has th correct “pitches” for an emergency whistle..so simple & light weight & orange so u can actually find it should u drop it..I couldn’t believe it was so reasonably priced, for 2..so I bought them..I carry 1 on me at all times, th other in a backpack..remember, 2 is 1, 1 is none..we hav a tendency to put off th lil things we need over th bigger things we want..I feel much better now..it’s done..& didn’t cost much..🤗

Andrei Shliakhau: I have several of these whistles. I have them tied to life versts when we kayak and keep one in a hydration pack on my long trail runs. They are slim enough to stay out of the way but accessible when needed.

Probably not the very loudest whistle out there but it is as good as other smaller/flatter whistles that I own.

This whistle performs adequately (for it's size and shape) and is reasonably priced.

The main selling point of this whistle is that it will fit in small kits (like a pocket survival or first-aid kit) and can be worn on a necklace or piggy-backed onto a knife-sheath, or even a boonie hat or walking stick, without getting in the way. Throw one into your tackle-box or tape one underneath the seat of your dirt-bike. If you are going far out into the wilderness or on a water-craft, it is a no-brainer (and a very good idea) to take this simple signaling device along, with you.

Keep it on your person. ... A series of three long blasts, three times per minute, is the standard distress alert procedure. If you break a leg or get lost or stranded, in a remote locale, you will wish you had one of these and, since it costs very little and takes no space ... adds no weight ...
