Ruby Dixon's Ice Planet Barbarians Series

Wanika: I can’t believe I waited so long to read this. A friend suggested it as I can’t handle reading my regular romances right and it was absolutely perfect! This book was so fun and good. It wasn’t about the spice, but about this crazy new world and a somewhat realistic WTF would you do if you were stranded on an alien planet. I cannot wait to read the rest.

Flipping Nap Time: Georgie and Vektar are an adorable couple! For a 7 foot, horned, blue alien he is an amazing book boyfriend! He treats her like a queen from the very first time he sees her. I picked up this book as a joke! Intending to do some light, mindless reading before bed. I was not expecting to love it as much as I did! It’s a very sweet story of acceptance and unconditional love. Immediately picking up book 2! It’s a very easy read but it gives you all the feels!

NeverTooMuchRomance: Storyline moves fast, Sexy aliens with perfect body parts rescuing and taking care of you, instant attraction and great writing style that is well edited.

If you want a little escapism, something fun and cute that reads quick, this is it. Bad aliens kidnap woman, good aliens rescue them when they crash-land. Background of the world is concise and done well. Aliens are a cave dwelling, but emotionally sweet tribe.

i enjoyed this and will read others in the series.

Adis: What a ride this book takes you on, upon starting it I almost DNF’d but this was a book club book and I must say after pushing through the beginning it really begins to captivate you. I found myself turning page after page to see what new words I was going to Learn and what new feelings the characters would develop and the places the characters would go. It’s a cute little love story, great to help with a book hangover or dark romance to pep you back up. A great written female lead and an adorable “golden retriever” type of male lead that every girl wants ! Can’t wait to continue on with my barbarian book reading.

Shannon: My friends started a book club and this was the book they wanted to read. We all knew we were picking it up as a joke but the story is actually very engaging. The way the writer writes is.. interesting but refreshing. It's a short read but highly recommend!

Laura Henman: Until today i had never heard of Ruby Dixon. I came across this book in the recommendations in kindle, while I was looking for something else and decided to give it a go.

I am glad that I did!!

This is an interesting book about human females getting abducted by aliens!! Something mankind has always wondered upon, due to do many claiming that they had indeed been kidnapped and tested upon alien creatures, possibly trying to understand us?? 🤔🤔

Well whatever the reason it is something many believe in, but just as many claim that those are just crying wolf and/or wanting the mass attention of the everybody.

This starts as Georgie awakens in a holding bay with several others in there too. Some have been there a few days, while others have been there for weeks. It turns out however, that Georgie and these others are spares.

The original six women....all aged 22 years old, as well as the spares....are in hibernation and are oblivious to their capture, unlike Georgie and the other girls.

They are to be quiet at all times or suffer horrendous consequences, as one such girl....the last one caught after Georgie....Dominique was to find...

Sara: I really liked this story. I think the storyline is good, deep enough but with erotic and spicy touches. I will definetly look at other stories from this author and I'll probably re-read this story many times!

Ingrid: This book was a finding. It bombed on booktok and of course I had to check it out after hearing good things about it. Now, my life is defined by before and after this series. I absolutely loved, and I didnt know that I would like aliens so much!! Ruby is a amazing writer, and I've become addicted to the happy feeling her books bring me. You can rest assure that will be a ~spoiler~ hea ~spoiler~ and really, I think this is part of the appeal to me, because I need this reassurance. Nowadays, I've already read a lot of ruby's books and will continue the journey. This will absolutely be on my list of favorites of the year <3

S. Robinson: I love finding new authors! Well, those who newly pop-up on my paranormal romance radar anyway, and most especially I love it when they are GOOD. I have read all 4 books, and this review speaks more to the series than just this one book. I have to say she did not disappoint on any of them!

Ruby is very clearly an experienced author, and everything is polished beautifully. *happy sigh* Not only is it WELL written and edited, but the dialog and exposition is wonderful. It's nicely descriptive but still succinct. She did a very good job of dealing with the language barrier while keeping the reader engaged. Also, considering the world, she kept the plots fresh and moving along, each book adding a new nuance to the world building without being overwhelming. The characters are nicely robust but don't have a whole lot of "back on Earth" sorts of stories which would show their dimensionality a bit more. I guess none of these gals had hobbies, but they are only 22. That makes them largely a blank slate unless their life was somehow extraordinary, and they are pretty average on that score. That said, I do like all characters we've been introduced to, but my favorite was Georgie. I...
