A: Delivery was great! I had it delivered to Uptown Bikes to be assembled., which is a fantastic bike shop. The bike size is great! But you will need to purchase better tires. I’m a cyclist and I noticed the tires didn’t have a good grip. So I replaced them with tires I had on a different bike. And it’s just fine.

Troy Cono: When reading the reviews on here, I noticed most people complaining about how difficult it is to assemble. While I can't argue with that fact, I can say that "some assembly required" will be the case for any new bicycle you buy online, and if you aren't proficient with assembling things in general, you'll probably want to go to a retail store to purchase a bike, and/or take this bike to a bike shop in the box and pay them to assemble it for you. However, if you are like me, and can put together Ikea furniture without the instructions, and you don't mind spending several hours putting together your own bike, I honestly think these guys do an amazing job of packaging, and shipping their bikes in as assembled as possible condition. The bike is only a bit heavier than expected, for an aluminum frame, but that is to be expected given the extra weight of the basket holder, and the transmission cover (as is typical in a 3 speed). All in all, after spending several months researching bikes, this unit, and its female counterpart were the only ones on the market under $500 that offered a stylish, vintage/cruiser look, with a multi-gear transmission, AND a front suspension. Robert C.Robert C.: The handlebars were mounted on the spindle backwards. This resulted in the bell being mounted upside down and apparently it was mounted while the paint was still soft. The vinyl tubing they use for a bushing on the bottom of the bell clamp stuck into the paint causing the finish to come off leaving an ugly blemish that is very visible.
Worse than that the front brakes are defective and will not adjust. One of the brake pads rides constantly on the side of the rim. The rear brakes have the same issue but not to the extent of the front brakes.
And lastly both rims were not trued before being shipped. They both wobble.
So here's the worst part. You cannot contact Royce Union. No one answers the customer service telephone number. It's apparently just set up on a loop. I've called three times and was left on hold each time well over an hours without anyone answering. Here's the curious thing. You'll call and you'll hear an automated message saying how important your call is and stay on the line and then you'll hear your number two in the queue. After about 45 minutes you'll hear you're number one in the queue and then from that point on you just are number one in the queue for...

Jeff DangerJeff Danger: Let me start off by telling you I am a 40 year old man who only really bikes now and then. Maybe for exercise, maybe just to be outside, I am not a bicycle hobbyist, enthusiast, and expert. I'm sub amateur. Haha just a regular joe when it comes to bikes.

Now that you know where I am coming from....

The reviews that say they had stuff broken, missing etc. That sucks. It really does. I am so glad I didn't based my decision to buy on that, because I was planning on exchanging until they got it right. Anyway I did have all my pieces and nothing damaged. So it IS possible to have a great first experience.

Now to the bike itself...

I hate the seat. It sucks. It was difficult for me to figure out how to attach the seat to the stem. I did figure it out. But the directions didn't show my specific style. Which was odd, anyway, I had to look at my old bike for help so thankfully I had a guide.

It didn't come with a kickstand, again thankfully I have an old bike, I just took it off and added it to the new.

Jorge Andreas: It didn't take long to assemble, but the bicycle is anything but comfortable: impossible to set seat height, pedals slip and the drivetrain is noisy.

While it may an affordable bicycle, it will make you hate cycling.

webby: Nice bike for riding bike paths and paved roads. Very light for such a big bike: about 30lbs (NOT 20kg as in product description). Manufacturer says 21" frame is recommended for 38.5" inseam...? Well, stand-over height is 32-33" so a 35" inseam should be ok (IMO). I am 6' 1" and 170lbs.
Regarding other review complaints: "tire blew on 1st ride!" Well, they slap these bikes together lightening fast at the factory so deflate and reflate tires before 1st ride to ensure tire & tube is seated correctly.
"Wheels out of true!" Well, good luck buying any bike online without this problem but with a $2 tool and some patience and of course some YT videos you'll fix it pretty easily.
In fact there are many excellent YT vids by bike mechanics showing how to unbox and assemble bikes bought online- take advantage of these free resources!

Y: Disappointed because the seat tilts so back it is not very adjustable so it make the crotch hurt a lot. It also doesn’t come with kick stand but it’s not hard to buy and install. I tried to change the seat but a lot of the bars on the seat doesn’t fit in this bike. Sad I had to return it

Alex: The reason I chose this bike was because I was looking for a walk through bike that was easy to get on to. Overall I am happy with the bike. The instructions were extremely confusing so thankfully my husband was able to put it together without reading them. A few things we came across that were concerning until we worked it out. Like previous reviews when I first rode the bike my foot constantly hit the front tire when turning. We realized when he installed the handle bars they were backwards. When he flipped it around it fixed that problem. The other issue was the breaks it took a lot of adjustments to stop them from rubbing on one side. If I didn't have him to fix it I would have taken it to a bike shop to adjust. The back reflectors that they sent do not fit, but the front one is fine. Overall I am happy with the bike. However I would suggest getting someone who is familiar with bike mechanics to help set it up because the instructions are not helpful at all.
