Troy Cono: When reading the reviews on here, I noticed most people complaining about how difficult it is to assemble. While I can't argue with that fact, I can say that "some assembly required" will be the case for any new bicycle you buy online, and if you aren't proficient with assembling things in general, you'll probably want to go to a retail store to purchase a bike, and/or take this bike to a bike shop in the box and pay them to assemble it for you. However, if you are like me, and can put together Ikea furniture without the instructions, and you don't mind spending several hours putting together your own bike, I honestly think these guys do an amazing job of packaging, and shipping their bikes in as assembled as possible condition. The bike is only a bit heavier than expected, for an aluminum frame, but that is to be expected given the extra weight of the basket holder, and the transmission cover (as is typical in a 3 speed). All in all, after spending several months researching bikes, this unit, and its female counterpart were the only ones on the market under $500 that offered a stylish, vintage/cruiser look, with a multi-gear transmission, AND a front suspension. Ashley M Levesque: I bought this bike for my commute to work. It was on sale for about $180, so I still feel like I got a good deal.

I would not pay full price for this bike. The package it was in arrived with holes on either side. The wheels were out of true, and it didn't move well or easily after assembly.

I ended up taking it to a bike shop for servicing and adding fenders, a rear rack, bike lights, and a kickstand to make it more practical for my daily commute.

I do recommend this bike. Just be aware that you're probably going to need pay for servicing immediately, even if you don't add the stuff that I did. You may or may not just be better off buying a bike at your local bike shop, depending on how expensive it is.

Michelle K: About 1 hour to assemble, most of the time adjusting breaks. Rides pretty straight, good for 199 bucks. (cheaper than academy or Walmart) 3 speed works great, neighborhood cruiser plus a little exercise. Only blemish on paint was on the handlebar where horn dug into it. Pleased with purchase.

Sisyphus: This seems like a good bike. Just took it for an 80+ mile ride this weekend and it was comfortable and smooth. I know about bikes, so I didn't have too much trouble assembling it--but someone unfamiliar might have a bit of a challenge. You have to pay attention to details. For example, the bike comes shipped with the front fork pointing backwards. I didn't notice that until after I assembled the handlebars--backwards! No real problem--I just re-did it--but maybe you won't have to do the rework if you catch this before you start. Like many reviewers, I also had a rear tube with a leak. No big deal to replace the tube--but frustrating that I had to. I'd plan on having an extra tube or two handy if you decide to purchase this bike. I specifically got it for a very tall familiar member--the 21-inch frame worked great for him.

Jeff DangerJeff Danger: Let me start off by telling you I am a 40 year old man who only really bikes now and then. Maybe for exercise, maybe just to be outside, I am not a bicycle hobbyist, enthusiast, and expert. I'm sub amateur. Haha just a regular joe when it comes to bikes.

Now that you know where I am coming from....

The reviews that say they had stuff broken, missing etc. That sucks. It really does. I am so glad I didn't based my decision to buy on that, because I was planning on exchanging until they got it right. Anyway I did have all my pieces and nothing damaged. So it IS possible to have a great first experience.

Now to the bike itself...

I hate the seat. It sucks. It was difficult for me to figure out how to attach the seat to the stem. I did figure it out. But the directions didn't show my specific style. Which was odd, anyway, I had to look at my old bike for help so thankfully I had a guide.

It didn't come with a kickstand, again thankfully I have an old bike, I just took it off and added it to the new.

Jorge Andreas: It didn't take long to assemble, but the bicycle is anything but comfortable: impossible to set seat height, pedals slip and the drivetrain is noisy.

While it may an affordable bicycle, it will make you hate cycling.

webby: Nice bike for riding bike paths and paved roads. Very light for such a big bike: about 30lbs (NOT 20kg as in product description). Manufacturer says 21" frame is recommended for 38.5" inseam...? Well, stand-over height is 32-33" so a 35" inseam should be ok (IMO). I am 6' 1" and 170lbs.
Regarding other review complaints: "tire blew on 1st ride!" Well, they slap these bikes together lightening fast at the factory so deflate and reflate tires before 1st ride to ensure tire & tube is seated correctly.
"Wheels out of true!" Well, good luck buying any bike online without this problem but with a $2 tool and some patience and of course some YT videos you'll fix it pretty easily.
In fact there are many excellent YT vids by bike mechanics showing how to unbox and assemble bikes bought online- take advantage of these free resources!

Y: Disappointed because the seat tilts so back it is not very adjustable so it make the crotch hurt a lot. It also doesn’t come with kick stand but it’s not hard to buy and install. I tried to change the seat but a lot of the bars on the seat doesn’t fit in this bike. Sad I had to return it

Alex: The reason I chose this bike was because I was looking for a walk through bike that was easy to get on to. Overall I am happy with the bike. The instructions were extremely confusing so thankfully my husband was able to put it together without reading them. A few things we came across that were concerning until we worked it out. Like previous reviews when I first rode the bike my foot constantly hit the front tire when turning. We realized when he installed the handle bars they were backwards. When he flipped it around it fixed that problem. The other issue was the breaks it took a lot of adjustments to stop them from rubbing on one side. If I didn't have him to fix it I would have taken it to a bike shop to adjust. The back reflectors that they sent do not fit, but the front one is fine. Overall I am happy with the bike. However I would suggest getting someone who is familiar with bike mechanics to help set it up because the instructions are not helpful at all.
