Royal Canin Feline Health Nutrition Canned Cat Food for Senior Cats Aged 12+ with Tasty Loaf in Sauce

L. Cox: Up until now my 12-year-old cat would only eat Purina Fancy Feast chicken pate. I have been wanting to switch to something more nutritious. My cat groomer told me that her cats are also picky but love this. It seemed doubtful that mine would LOVE it, but decided to give it a try. I got one can at a pet store and gave it a try. I slowly added it to the Fancy Feast. I added more of it each day because he wouldn't eat very much of it all by itself. Now he will eat it alone if I mix it with Forti Flora. The only thing I don't like is that the pate (called " loaf in sauce") only comes in the big can. I would much prefer a smaller sized can. The other Aging food "thin slices in gravy" comes in smaller cans, but my cat will only eat the loaf in sauce pate.

Mel: Cats love it and they are picky. But it is expensive, especially if your on a budget. But its one of the only can cat foods my cat will eat.

Val C: We have a 13yo Maine Coon who is a picky eater and a slight weight problem. He absolutely loves this mixed with his dry food and stays satisfied until his next meal! His stomach issues have also improved since starting him in it!

Pavel: My 17 year old buddy is slowing down. As he becomes more sedentary and he loses muscle, he's lost weight. It was rapid enough that the vet was sure there were problems and then was quite suprised when his blood tests came back with no sign of a problem. The real problem is that he became a licker and not an eater....until I bought this food. It is kind of pricey, but it is the only food he's tried where he eats the whole portion instead of just licking the juice. He loves this stuff. Occationally I'll try some other brand and he's back to just licking the juice. The best part is that he's put on weight and seems happy.

Mbbk05: My senior absolutely loves this food. She recently turned 12 last month, she was 9 when I adopted her. She is by far the pickiest eater I’ve encountered thus far. At first I was feeding her Sheba as it was the only wet food she would touch and is a step up from friskies, which was given to her when she was in the shelter. From there it’s been trial and error, she has severe allergies, stomatitis, and no teeth. Our veterinarian recommend the prescription hills science diet but I wasn’t trying to dish out $70 on a 12 pack of food that she most likely won’t touch. She did also mention the royal canine for sensitive digestive systems so I ended up going and picking up a few different cans to “test” her on and this is the only one she’ll touch. Her skin and fur feel and look great. She’s also managed to put on some actual weight within the small period of time that she’s been eating this food. She’s already of small stature but she was 7.5lbs when I adopted her and I’ve only managed to get her up to 9.0lbs but she’s been at a steady 8-8.8lbs for a few months.
