Tracey Brown: Not a lot to say, It doesn't split logs, haven't used it successfully on one log and various people have tried, if you manage to get it in quite a way it gets stuck and you can't get it out.

russell culf: I was offered a good discount on this axe so it sealed the deal over another I was viewing, I am pleased with my choice as the axe feels strong and well balanced, has a slim rubber edge cover for protection, edge has a well defined grind that is uniform on each side though a bit rough to touch it is sharp enough for most jobs a 1 1/4 lb axe would be used for ie camp use small splitting of tinder for fire wood. It has a solid feel to the handle with a non slip section for a secure grip > All in a sturdy tool from a recognized maker at a very good price and an easy job to finish the edge to a razor edge, would recommend.
