Lusius: Okay so straight to business. This didn't work for me at all. So why did I give it five stars?

Easy. If my cats were normal, functional members of society it would have.

If your cats react to sticky, stinky, pokey, loud, or wet things like a normal cat, this will work for you.

If your cats fear neither man nor god, chew cat deterrent poke mats, drink hot water and enjoy charging full tilt into your legs as affection, it won't.

Either way it's nice. I can use it for other things or to keep dust/cat hair off surfaces then just peel it off later.

Beverly S.: THE PROS AND CON:
CON: Only one. After you stick down one side of the tape where you want it, the release paper is really hard to get off but with perseverance, you can do it. If the company had made the release paper 1/32nd of an inch wider beyond the roll, removing it would have been a breeze. But it really adheres well and the tape comes off easily if you want to move it or remove it.
PROS: It works. This double sided sticky tape adheres to anything immediately. I cannot address durability yet because I just put it on yesterday. I have a leather lazy boy type chair. My two kittens like to sit on the top of it but in order to get there they had to claw their way up the back. I have a ton of little claw holes in the leather. I cut each piece to the right size with my scissors (Make sure you stick the end of the roll to glass or you’ll never find it again. It’s clear) and adhered the tape over all the locations on the chair where there are claw marks. They were both watching me. After a while they tried to do the usual climbing routes. They jumped on and got sticky paws and dropped down to the floor. So far so good today too. I LIKE THIS PRODUCT!!

Héctor De la Torre: The media could not be loaded.  Mi gata empezó a lamerlo en cuando lo puse.

Hasta el momento no lo han arañado, pero dudo de la durabilidad del efecto. Básicamente es una cinta doble cara que va en el mueble, supongo que el efecto de esto es que el gato sienta pegajoso y evite el contacto después, pero no sé cuánto pueda durar el pegamento activo en la parte de afuera.

Hasta el momento ha funcionado (lleva dos días), así que actualizaré mi opinión más adelante

Raedar: Had high expectations for this product and waited a long time for delivery.
However if there was an option for Zero Stars I would have given that.
When received I took advise from other reviews and tested the product on a small area of my NEW fabric couch. Seemed to adhere well and came off without any problem.
So... after the test spot went so well - I installed on one entire side of my couch that the Kitten likes to walk by and scratch..
First off - This Did not deter the cat! and found that the cat liked the taste of the double sided tape and was now chewing the product off of the couch. I felt this was going to do more damage in the long run, and I decided to remove the product as it was not working as I had hoped.
Well let me tell you - its been on the couch for a week and its like the adhesive somehow got more adhesive during that time!
This is next to impossible to remove.
I tried to remove as slowly and as carefully as possible but it was tearing out fibers and material from my new couch. The couch looks like crap now and its 3 months old- I got all off except one small piece that's about 2"x2" and I am unable to get this off at...

PatPat: I had my doubts but it worked from the beginning. I have a small dog who scratched at the door to come back in. I got tired of repainting the door and decided to try this. My first surprise was that the tape is sticky on both sides. I figured that would be a dust magnet, but that has not been the case. What the sticky has done is make the door unpalatable to my dog. She hates the way it feels on her feet. Tape up, scratching off. My pictures show the tape going up then the removal of the white backing. As you can see, it is invisible on the door. I also put tape on the jam and it bends around corners so there was no “trim to fit” drama. I have had it up several days and it looks exactly the same. I can see where it might not work for a large animal or one determined to scratch through the door but for a dog or cat that doesn’t like the feel of tape on their feet this is great.

Emma: Finally got my cat to stop scratching my couch. It was easy to apply and doesn't look tacky since it's still pretty clear when applied. Only thing you have to watch for is applying it where you might stick to it. My cat likes to sit on top of the back of one of my chairs and scratch down the back, so I put tape there. A day later, I toss my hair behind me while sitting on the chair and suddenly, I was stuck to my chair! It didn't rip my hair out so that's a plus, but it's easy to forget the tape is there. I will say, my cat still does not scratch on that chair back because he still smells the adhesive, and the adhesive came off well and didn't damage my chair.
