Robert Flygare: Loved this book. We all love Opie but this book so beautifully illustrates Ron Howard is so much more than the little boy from Mayberry. I also love that he is not caught up in the Hollywood plastic and what can you do for me
world and even moved far away from tinsel town. What is most impressive is his love and devotion to his family and his moral values which are rare in his world.

Juliette: I have no argument with the quality of the writing skill of this author or the subject matter. I have been a fan of Ron Howard since his Opie days. It has been a great pleasure and satisfaction watching him mature both as a man and in his career. In choosing this book I was hoping for an in depth story of his life and who he is. What is found here is a description of his life with a few direct quotes. No doubt all of this information can be found on the internet with a bit of focused digging and despite the author almost bragging about how many people she interviewed. To finish the story I will wait for the official autobiography.

Stan Campbell: Although there weren't any major surprises, the book was an excellent look inside Ron Howard's early life right up until present day.. I am a Ron Howard fan. He did not dissapoint.

Penelope Mcfarlane: I would have preferred this bio to have Ron’s input, but the author garnered enough quotes from family and friends to make this an interesting read.

David Oickle: Ron Howard really is a "nice guy." He seems to get the most out of the people he works with because he treats people decently and with respect for what they bring to a project. Business leaders and Political leaders could learn a lot from him. People basically want to be heard and appreciated. Everyone has "something" to offer, even through apposing views. A good read on a "good guy."

Wayne Page: Interesting read. Child star who moved up through his teens and adulthood. Personally I believe he should have received more recognition over the years.

Lori Goodman: No offense to Beverly Gray, she did an excellent job of researching and gathering information. That alone was impressive. It was simply not the book I was hoping for. I was expecting experiences and insights in richer detail with some depth. Instead I was bored after reading chapter after chapter of dates and quotes from other people about Ron's life and work (and more dates and quotes relating to those people). A great body of work if you enjoy historical research information or want to walk step-by-step along a somewhat jagged timeline of Ron Howard's life.
As for me, I trudged through a couple of chapters and honestly couldn't get halfway through, it felt like homework. I also wasn't happy to read in the very first pages that Ron himself didn't want this book to be written and refused to participate. It cast a shadow over everything I read from those words forward knowing that a man with such great integrity and character - a rare gift in his industry - was not honored by the act of writing of this book.

Jean Walters: It is always interesting to follow the trajectory of successful people. Ron Howard's story is compelling for several reasons... He is clear in his values and sticks to them and I love his loyalty to family and the way he includes his family of actors in his films. I think he is a great director and it is good to know a bit about his style.
