Tim Parsons: Read the numerous reviews before buying. The display is clear and can easily be read in the daytime. The projection is circular in shape with the time clearly displayed in the middle in blue. Yes it does slightly light up the room but only a small amount that I would describe more as a glow and if you do get up in the middle of the night you don’t need to put a light on to see where you’re going. If you have to have pitch black darkness at night then maybe not for you, but we like it!
Also the USB charging point was an unexpectedly welcome addition.

nonfictionnut: This is a super handy clock. I love the projection light. It's adjustable for brightness, focus and direction. I no longer have to roll over to read the time on my nightstand. All I have to do now is barely open an eye to see the time displayed on the ceiling. The projected display is huge and so easy to read! Just what I wanted!

jimbo: Good projection. if on a locker it needs to be viewed only with it on the left and the clock has to be at right angles to the wall and stick out quite a long way.
