Big Valley Fan: These "who are books" are a great way to get young readers excited about reading and learning about historical figures at the same time. They also open the door to discuss other things occurring at the same time (ie the powerful families at the time, the type of art created during this time etc...). My granddaughter loved reading this (she is 7) and I actually learned a few things myself (although no one was more surprised about this then myself ha). I would highly recommend this book

Alex Fox: My 8 year old loves these books so much, we’ve worked most of our homeschooling around them. It’s very common for boys to be more interested in non-fiction titles so I’m very happy to have these books for him. They are a very quick read so he averages two a day but he’s also a bookworm. We have our own little library of this series at home and can’t wait for more titles!

Nicholas V.: Love these books. My son, who is 9 has been reading them for a little over a year now and this book is wonderful. I must say that this one is not one of his favorites. He is a history junkey, lol. He so far seems to love the Jackie Robinson, Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, Robert E Lee, What is the world series the best as a 8 and 9 year old.

I also read these to him in the evenings and I really enjoy them as a 40 year old father. I have learned so much from them as well. Sometimes I read them before or after my son in order to have an educated discussion with him about the subject of the book. I really also get alot out of them as well.
