James Anderson: So far, with only about a week's use, a great hot tub! The jets really blast! Of course, that's not a lot of use, and it hasn't been under 50 degrees F (so I can't rate the heater's ability to keep it hot in cold weather). I must recommend this square version over round of the same width as having more room. It's great for 2 people (haven't tried 3 yet, and I think 4 would be really tight). And I wondered if I shouldn't have put a pad under it (I did set it up on a tarp to minimize abrasion from the concrete patio its on), but the bottom inflates a bit and the jets and your buoyancy mean the bottom is perfectly comfortable to sit on as long as you want.

However, I can't give it 5 stars due to two issues. First, the set up instructions are terrible - poorly drawn graphics with no corresponding words, no part numbers on most (which, I have to admit, seems to be "the modern way" - I cringe at having to assembly anything these days as instructions absolutely suck these days!). For example, the one flat inflatable piece I couldn't figure out - I thought it must be a bottom. Finally I searched and found a YouTube video that clearly showed you position in the cover and inflate for...

DebbieDebbie: I purchased this tub less then a year ago. Warranty is not expired. Contacted company and told them it developed mold everywhere on the cover, while in operation.
I tried washing it as you see in the pics. That's after I cleaned it with soap and bleach..
It still wreaks of mold ..
And when I reported a claim. They returned a decision.
That this is not covered in their warranty.
Now I can not use my spa now. I have no cover.
I would not suggest buying from this company..

Michael: 10 week update: After a few more weeks, and reading other reviews, I have several additional comments. As I said in my earlier review, I've owned larger fiberglass hot tubs in the past...three to be precise, so I compare my experience with this spa against these larger models.

Maintenance: As discussed in other reviews, you should be prepared to know something about spa chemicals (I like bromine) and filters. Once you become accustomed to it, it's pretty easy. I spend no more that 5 - 10 minutes a week on it. My filters last about a month.

Cost/Winter use: There are electrical costs to running a hot tub. This tub has the advantage of heating a relatively small quantity of water compared to my other spas. On the other hand, it is not as well insulated. Net/net, the costs are similar. I put meter on it and found my hot tub is using 20.1 kWh per day outside in the Connecticut winter. For me, this translates to $92/month. I do intend to move it indoors soon. The manufacturer does not recommend running it outdoors in freezing temperatures.

Jets/bubbles/noise. If you haven't owned a hot tub, the distinction between jets and bubbles may not be clear to you. Jets are...

wandabennett: So I didn't think I was a fan of hot tubs my husband wanted to get a full-fledged hot tub so to meet him halfway this is what I ordered I was a little skeptical at first but once it was up and running I'm in love it says four person but truly it fits three adults took 72 hours to heat up very sturdy and well worth the money

C. Egts: My wife and I bought this tub because we *thought* we wanted to own a hot tub, but buying a regular hot tub out right is costly, and what if we were wrong? The Saluspa was a good low-cost (comparatively to a real hot tub) experiment to determine if we liked being hot tub owners -and all that comes with it.

Well, after about 2-3 months of owning this thing, this is what I can tell you before you buy...

1.) LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT SPA MAINTENACE/TREATMENT.
I had no idea how complicated proper spa maintenance can be. Thankfully, I have some co-workers that own spas/pools and they were able to point me towards some really great resources and give him some pro tips. Aside from feeling like Breaking Bad or a chemistry master mind in the beginning, it became tedious to be constantly checking and re-checking my water levels -especially when no matter what I did, they weren't right. Why can't I get the tub to stop foaming so much? Why isn't is crystal clear? These were my frustrations while learning about water treatment, however once I understood the basics, and got in a good routine, I found it became pretty easy to maintain over a 10-15 minutes chore, 1-2 times per week....

ManuRucepManuRucep: Very easy to install. The pump is first used to inflate the tub then is plugged on the tub, no additional tool required. Once filled, we started the tub and had no problem reaching our target temp within a few hours (95F, only used it during the summer). It is spacious enough for two adults to be confortable with room maybe for a third adult or 1-2 kids. Water level is mid/upper-chest when we are sitting in the tub. We have been using it for a few weeks and no deflating and still works great.
The "bubbles" are surprisingly in good quantity for such a small system, quite decent but not the highlight of the hottub. The pump when pushing the bubbles makes the sound of a small vaccuum cleaner. It would probably be a good addition to make a DIY wooden box to put around it and would block the noise. That being said, we don't hear it much when it the spa and I dont think our neighbour hear it that much, given we live in a dense urban area with small backyards. Overall for the price, I totally recommended it! Its so relaxing and way less hassle than a full permanent hottub
