REDCAMP Extra-Large Cot Pads for Camping Comfort

Carol Rochat: I ordered this mattress for my futon. I don't like to pull it out flat. I like to keep it in the upright position. The cot mattress is a perfect fit. It's not quite as cushy as I had hoped, but it's not bad, and it's certainly more comfortable than the futon cushion.

BARose: I bought this one due to the ties. I tied the pad at the top and bottom with these ties and used the belt in the middle. The pad did not move all week. Although the pad wasn’t 3” and not even 2” while I was lying on it was comfortable and I slept great.

CCCC: I got this pad for use with a cot. I followed instructions in allowing it to sit 48 hours after opening it. While it does a great job at insulating, it falls short in comfort. It's not as thick as claimed, either. Item dimensions say 3" and actual description says 2". But it's not that thick (see photo). I'm a side sleeper and ended up having to sleep on my back just to get relief from hip pain.

pennyroyaltea: For reasons I'm not getting into here, I have to sleep on a camping cot for a few months. When I bought the cot I also bought this pad to make the cot slightly more comfortable and glad I did. This is NOT a luxurious quilted thick pad--it is very soft velvet like material that is nice, has convenient stretchy "bands" that go over the cot corners to keep it in place very well. It adds a bit of "softness" to laying on the cot, and also nice insulation to keep your backside warm when sleeping in cold weather. Its also light weight and comes with convenient carry bag. If you want a super thick pillow-like mat, this isn't it-- but if you want just a bit more comfort on your cot, and some insulation, this pad is perfect.

AIV: Bought this to use for my camp cot. It comes in a bag for storage and portability. The mattress is very soft material and comfortable to lay on. It is good quality. I have taken many naps on it. It is not super thick but serves its purpose for some extra added padding on a camp cot.

ZTLP: The red camp cots are so incredibly uncomfortable (tested by a few people) I decided to buy the pads in the hope it would make a difference. It did not - pads are thin and have little padding. The cot and pads were a complete waste of money - I’m hoping this review will stop you from making the same mistake.
