Lee H. Fleming: Man I am glad I bought this. I had 5 sheets of sheetrock to hang on a ceiling in my garage and was having a really hard time getting someone to actually show up and do the work. Finally I ordered this and did it myself. There is no way I could have done it myself w/o this. The instructions aren't the best but I had it together in 20min. It's easy to use and makes it SO much easier.

Catherine Burgin: My son and I are redoing his house and we have a lot of ceiling work to do. He said don't get it but I did and we both are so very happy we got it. We had to get used to it but we learned fast and were so happy. I hope it works for the rest of the job that we have to do. If it does then we will be very glad for the purchase. Be careful with the wheel. You must hold on to it and let it down easy. No problem putting together. I am so glad I found this on Amazon.

lisa: Absolutely horrible instructions that made it seems way more complicated to assemble! Will update once I’ve actually used it.
Update a year later: just used it again and boy, if you’re doing a ceiling solo, it’s a life, time, and back saver. Easy to REassmble.
Two notes of caution: make sure center of lift is properly seated on base and make sure cable does go so slack that it winds on itself causing it to bind up making it hard to hoist panels. Easy enough to realign once there’s no panel on and it’s lowered all the way down. Four stars for unclear directions.

Krater: After several quotes to hang and finish 65 sheets of drywall, I decided to buy this and just do it myself.
It's a lot slower than hanging with 2 people, but I wasn't willing to pay $60 a sheet to hang and finish a $6.50 sheet of drywall. Mainly bought it to do the ceilings.
Assembly was straight forward and it does what it's supposed to do. I'll end up saving over $3000 doing the job myself. I can't believe the price contractors are charging these days. 10 years ago the price was $30 per sheet. I don't know of too many people who's income has doubled during the last 10 years. When I'm finished, I'll just sell the lift on craigslist and get half of my money back.
