Ron: The lift worked perfectly but the delivery was the worst experience I've ever experienced with FedX. After waiting 2 days and having the fedx driver lie about the attempts to deliver I had to drive 30 miles to the FedEx store to pick-up the lift which he'd been dropped and ripped open to retrieve it for my drywall job. Worst experience ever with fedx!

Paperback WriterPaperback Writer: This is stable and very useful. I am a DIYer and purchased this to finish the 10' ceiling in my garage, figuring that I can sell it when the job is over and won't have to rent one and be pressed by the return deadline. The loss I'll take by selling it used would be the same or less than renting one, and I can do my job on my own schedule. I will say that I didn't trust the stability of the upright as designed (the upright just slips on a short collar) so I use a ratchet strap to pull the upright toward one of the legs and now it's solid as a rock. The instructions are nearly useless: you'll have to figure it out on your own. Now that I've finished the job, I can see that it is very useful to lift heavy storage tubs onto the high shelves in my garage, so I'm going to keep it for that purpose. For the money, I highly recommend this.

Kindle Customer: Helping my son build a room in his basement. We are not professionals so decided to purchase this instead of trying to rent one not knowing how long we would need it. This definitely did the job and putting it together was very straightforward. It was the first time for either of us to use a drywall lift so didn't know entirely what to expect. We were very pleased with the fact that we did not have to lift drywall and hold it up ourselves while attaching to the ceiling. My biggest complaint is the amount of wobble present just at the top of the unit. Its stance on the floor is very solid as is the center post. It just seems the head has the ability to wobble quite a bit especially with a sheet of drywall on top.

Mark AllenMark Allen: I am installing a drywall ceiling in my basement where previously there was only ceiling tiles. I am taking my time with this project and so need something that I can use whenever I have time to work on it. I considered just renting but then didn't want to rush or worry about having to return it on-time. For the same price of a few days rental I bought this and can work on my own schedule. It was easy to put together and for the most part works fine. It makes some clunking sounds when raising and lowering and is not the smoothest operation but it does the job just fine. It was easy to install 4x8 sheets of 5/8 fire-code with it by myself. Those sheets are about 75lbs each.
