dt: I've seen these for years but never thought they would work until my brother encouraged me to try it. I LOVE IT! It's so effective. I had these little gnats that I used to catch with a little electronic thing that had sticky paper on them. They worked ok but this was what really eliminated the issue!

I purchased this item because of a fruit fly problem. I purchased the medium size (see pics attached). It’s hand held. It feels like a tennis racket. It’s incredibly lightweight! The red indicator light shows you that the zapper is turned on and ready to use. The blue LED light is to help you see in darker areas. This way you will be sure not to miss those pesky little insects. You just swat at them, or lay the racket upon a surface when they land, and ZAP! They’re gone! It takes seconds! It does make a little noise, but nothing terrible. It does spark a little, but it’s not bad. It just takes a little getting used to. It is rechargeable. It charges with a USB cable that is included (but only one cable for both rackets). It can be used indoors or outdoors. It takes care of tiny insects (fruit flies) to regular sized insects (flies, wasps, spiders, etc.). Needless to say, we’ve eliminated most of our issues in just a matter of a few days!

De fabrication solide, avec une batterie rechargeable (1 recharge pour l'instant en 2 semaines) et même une lumière bleue intégrée pour (je suppose) les attirer (pas vraiment indispensable mais on ne va pas s'en plaindre), la chasse est aussi efficace que (j'ose dire) ludique. Cela restera cependant en utilisation d'appoint contre les quelques insectes qui nous tiennent tête après les avoir repoussés plusieurs fois: autrement plus difficile de courir en permanence pour éliminer les hordes qui peuvent parfois apparaître en été (mais vous pouvez toujours vous y amuser voire défouler). Petit bémol pour les acheteurs du 2-pack: il n'y a en effet qu'un seul cordon de recharge fourni, ce qui est un peu inattendu et un peu gênant. Mais pour conclure: entièrement satisfait de mon achat pour l'instant. C'est un très bon rendement prix/qualité/efficacité.

Eric: Veruit de beste elektronische vliegenmepper die ik ooit heb gekocht. Zelfs fruitvliegjes ontwijken de binnenste tralies niet en "spatten" met een flits uiteen. Prima verpakt, de doos was nog geseald en de vliegenmeppers ook nog per stuk in een plastic zak.

Doug BDoug B: I like leaving my front door open and the security door screen openings are big enough that sometimes small gnats get thru. And it's unavoidable to periodically have a fly or other insect sneak in when the front door is open. I haven't owned a regular fly swatter in a long time and I'm always looking around for a newspaper or something I can roll up to try and swat the little buggers. Finally I decided to bite the bullet and buy a fly swatter but saw these electric ones that are now being sold so I thought I'd try the ZAP it.

It was easy enough to charge and seemed to charge pretty fast. Naturally I didn't have any bugs flying around the house for a few weeks, but then I finally got a chance to use it. It took a little getting used to having to push the "ON" button with your thumb to make it work before swatting, but it definitely works well. The greatest thing about this unit is that you only have to make contact with the bug, you don't have to smash it. And while it doesn't always kill the bug, it stuns it so it falls to the ground where you can finish the job.

I wish I never had to deal with bugs flying around the house, but this is more...

Mark Masaki: So far so good. These things are very light and hopefully their plastic doesn’t break. I have dropped it once already, but it shows no signs of damage. This product should be used to wave around in the air to touch the pests. It is not intended to “hit” or “smack” anything because it will break. I do however notice that I catch more pests the faster I wave it in the air (be aware of your environment; try not to break anything or hurt anyone). The flys that I manage to hit with this make a loud snapping sound. Sometimes they survive the hit and fly away, but most times they fall to the ground subdued, allowing you to step on them. Other times they get stuck in it and make a little lightning bolt arc shine from their bodies. This usually results in a burned smell if you continue to press the energizing button (which I will explain in a moment). These USB rechargeable zap rackets come with only one cord, but I already have another cord for a cell phone, so, whatever. The charge cord fits behind the yellow door at the base of the handle.
