AJL: Our home in northern Colorado was tested when we bought four years ago and the result was below 4.0. Decided it was time to re-test. Purchased this radon test kit which I activated at once, placing it in a bedroom on the main floor (this home is a one-story ranch style over a 32 inch high dirt crawl space). The kit I purchased was supposed to include pre-paid return postage. When I opened the package there was no pre-paid return postage label so I emailed the lab. The response was fast. The answer was simple - just go online and register the kit using the assigned ID number. The registration can be confusing because it asks for the start and stop date. That's ok. Just enter the dates that you will conduct the test. In my case I entered the same-day start date (August 22) and entered the PLANNED end date (August 25). The system accepted that. I was emailed the return label quickly. I printed and saved it. On the end date I mailed the kit back using the first class mail label. The instructions suggest that you purchase expedited shipping out-of-pocket. I did not. I just trusted that the first class option (free) would be fine. It was. ST: Even if you tested for radon when you bought your home, be aware that radon is a gas that can move in pockets. It’s worth the minimal cost to make sure your home is still radon free and this easy test will pay for itself! The instructions are easy and if you buy a kit that includes pre-paid postage, you’ll skip waiting in line at the post office. You can register your kit online and track delivery and where your test is in the process. Money well spent!

JulioVonHJulioVonH: The radon test itself was easy to set up, register, and send to the lab. The lab processed the test quickly and sent the results report within 2-3 days of test kit receipt. However, this item as advertised and sold on Amazon is supposed to include shipping fees; the product we received did *not* include shipping fees. Health Metric makes two versions of this test - one with a yellow cover and one with a green cover. The green cover means shipping is included; the yellow cover means shipping is not included. We paid $36.99 for this product, whereas the one with the yellow cover is selling for $26.99. We received the one with a yellow cover, meaning that we paid $10 too much for the product, and we also paid an additional $12.50 to FedEx the test to the lab in Texas.

Green Lane Nursery Ltd: I filled in the online form and sent the product of to America but then got an email back saying that i hadn't given the dates. Therefore test is invalid and a complete waste of time and money.
