However, I have a tall giant breed dog and if he wants to he can just step over it.
Which he use to when I first put it up: now he doesn’t try to. So it’s kinda nice the thought of it as a possible barrier for him to think maybe twice about trying to squeeze to the front passenger seat.
But it definitely won’t stop him if he wanted too.
It’s would be great for small to medium sized dogs.

Marina: Good quality product that helps keep my dog away from the front of the car while driving. She does chew on it on occasion and has figured out how to get over it on an occasion or two, but that’s unrelated to the product, it’s something you have to live with if you want it to connect to the head rests. Was as expected and has been very helpful!

C. Campbell: The top part was easy enough to install but at the bottom my car seats to not have anything like the small leg the hooks are supposed to fit around. Had to wrap the cord around the entire coupling and hook it to itself.
This is very sturdy. A really rambunctious smaller dog could probably climb over it. A very small dog might be able to get it's head through and get stuck but the rope net is not very stretchy.
