Brooke Jones: I just got a new car and I was dreading having my dogs ride in the back. My dogs like to hang their head over the back seats and drool while we travel, so I wanted to try this to see if it would remedy the problem. I paired it with a full cover (also from Amazon) that covered the entire back of the vehicle to help with their shedding. Long story short, it worked great! It would be easiest if two people could install it as other reviewers said, one to hold it up and the other to secure the hardware. For the price, this one worked great. I don't love the look of the bungee cords around the headrests, but I don't leave it in my car full time, so it's not a big deal.

Kindle Customer: Wanting to turn the rear of our SUV into a quick, larger, dog transporter than a standard metal crate we decided to give this a shot. Assembly was super easy, installation equally effortless. Our biggest concern was the stability of the grate as it is simply strapped to the rear headrests. Fortunately, once installed with the straps and included bungee cords, the fence was rock steady. Add in a dog bed for the bottom, a cargo net, and a few thinner dog mats around the 4 sides, and we were ready to go.
While you should always transport your pets in a well-fitting crate that is secured to the cargo area, this, along with some additional padding, works great and is very stable. Perfect for short drives and, specifically for our purpose; as a mobile kennel / dog house once you get where you're going.
