Came in without the piece to seal the top to the bottom piece which was the point of the whole thing and now it's saying I can't return it and yet I just want them to send me the piece so I give zero: In instructions is does not tell you to set wattage on the thermostat and on thermostat it says not required. However at 100 watts it was not really working. When I put the wattage for both mats correctly at 750 it worked wonderfully.

Thomas sharp: i ordered 2 floating floor modals received 1 floating floor and one tile. the tile one has a layer to protect against grout i assume but i installed it as instructed and placed my flooring over it anyways. i will say to hit a temp of 25c i need to set the temp between 30c and 40c but its been working nonstop for the last week i have both installed.

alliefaith_: Love this thing. Installed it myself as a total beginner DIYer and it turned out amazing. Instructions were easy to follow and so simple to wire up. Heats up fast too! Can't wait to use it this winter!

I like this product. I've had just over 1 sq-m installed under a floating cork floor in a small basement bathroom for two years now. The panels cover about 1/3 of the floor, the rest is sink and toilet. The printed panels provide a much more even heat than the wired ones. However, they don't provide *significant* heat.
The spec is 12W per sq-ft. So for my roughly 11 sq=ft I can expect about 130W max. That's two incandescent light bulbs worth of heat. Imagine how warm your bathroom will feel if you leave two light bulbs on overnight - not very... The issue is that older floating floors could not take the heat. Now they can. Ideally QuietWarmth will come out with a panel that puts out closer to 25W/sq-ft.
Still, our floor is much warmer than it used to be. I used insulating underlayment across the entire floor. With the panels on 24-7 the floor hits 20C. (To those of you in the third world that's about 68 Freedom Degrees). It's nice on bare feet when you step out of the shower.
Last thing, I was foolish enough to buy an expensive temperature sensing controller. Don't do it. A simple light switch is all you need. I keep the floor...

Rossman: I used 3 of these to heat a new office shed. They were easy to install and heat the space nicely. The shed was spray foamed for insulation, 90% of the time these heaters are sufficient to keep the shed warm. Today it is -5 in the upper Midwest, when I got into the shed office this morning the thermostat read 59 (it was set to 68) so while it was not quite able to be my sole heat source I would say performance was admirable. It is very nice to have a heated floor!

St. PauliteSt. Paulite:
Installed 4 pads under 1/2" engineered hardwood floating flooring. Routing the wires inside grooves cut in underlayment took the longest (an hour for me). I installed a metal wire-protecting cover where the wiring entered the wall at the sole plate (see pic). I ran the sensor wire out of the same hole in the sole plate, and have had no issues in the 2 months since installation. Recommend you cover the pads with cardboard while working on the remaining flooring, and check the impedance frequently during installation. I did it 4 times.
UPDATE: 1 year since install. Works perfectly. Added 4 similar pads to attic bedroom (under the same engineered flooring). Cut wider grooves in the pad to lay 6 wires side-by-side, then covered them completely with duct tape to prevent shifting. Electrical inspector required me to use 2 separate conduits from thermostat box to the base plate of the wall. I installed 2 sensors.
VERY pleased with the results in both rooms! I did some testing over a few days and found that these pads don't warm the air temperature more than 2-3 degrees, but they are a game-changer to making our rooms more comfortable in the...

Matthew Chinchilla: I cannot get this to heat up. I have tested the power and it everything is working. Thermostat, probe, and the mat have electricity running properly. Thermostat and probe are working. Mat is not heating up. Could use some assistance or replacement.
