If this inexpensive filter keeps me from throwing away another heater, it's absolutely worth it. I run propane heaters a lot in the fall and winter. Currently, Bluu heaters with thermostats. They seem to run better with a filter installed. I've run Mr. Heater Buddy heaters for a year or so, and then they clog. I tried disassembling & and unclogging them, and nearly had a house fire. Ha. DYI propane? Not a good idea. Filter to prevent problems? Good idea.

1) They aren't meant for the small 1# disposable cylinders
2) They aren't meant for the quick connect hose, only threaded hoses.
3) There is a small, clear protective covering on the stem on the hose end you have to remove for it thread in. It used to be a lot bigger and more obvious, but now it's so small and clear, you have to touch the stem to realize its there.
